You see a deer....I see cutlets.
Sitting on my back porch, I often see the deer come out of the woods. Every now and then, I game them by sitting perfectly still. They stare intently at me — unsure if I am real or not. After a while, they seem to conclude I am fake and get real close. At some point, I would move an arm, usually to sip a drink. When that happens, they look really puzzled for a second, then scamper away. Pretty sure I blinked, though.
