Not in the US, we are swimming in corn and grains.

If we stopped exporting food we would not know what to do with it all.

US is also different in that we have single family homes with large back yards to grow crops unlike Europe/Japan etc who live in apartments.

Farm to home and backyard gardens are making a huge comeback driven by milennials who are really into it.

Burpee Seed Co sold out of seeds the last two years due to demand for home gardens.

Although I do think the US is unlikely to experience anything like a famine, I am reminded of the USSR and it’s treatment of Ukraine during the Holodomor (early 1930s). Ukraine was the breadbasket of the Soviet Union. They produced plenty of food. But the Soviets wanted to crush the “Kulaks”, so they exported the food and people inside Ukraine starved. Millions died.

Also, during the Irish Potato famine (1840s), Ireland was still exporting food to England. Who cares if the locals starve?

If China needs food next year, will we export to them and let the Deplorables starve?

Famines are not caused by a lack of food

They are a result of government creating a lack of food. I had a friend in Africa and we had to mail her seeds clandestinely because seeds were forbidden.

For about a year I have been hearing these predictions, mostly attributed the UN predictions. We produce plenty of food in the USA, but the farmland has been bought up in large part by multinational corporations, China and people like Bill Gates. If they shipped all of the factory farm food to Africa as a reparation or BLM/democRAT mandate then we would be in deep trouble as a nation. Not enough people know how to grow crops or can food to feed everyone in the cities in the USA.

I guess this means at some point in the next year the poorest people will cease being the most obese.

We had a global pandemic and people actually got fatter. That’s got to be a first.

For those who are kind of laughing this off, the ChiComms have decided to stop selling us fertilizer, presumably so they can actually feed themselves instead, and our own President wants to sequester 1/3 of our lands from agricultural production for environ-MENTAL reasons.

So yeah, it can happen. #AmericanHolodomor

The libtards war on oil will take its toll.

Without abundant, affordable petroleum based fuels large scale agriculture in the USA will come to a screeching halt.

It is a time to grow closer to one’s neighbors. Network with them, get to know them, understand their skills, and pick out the juicy ones...
