If Omicron truly is ‘less severe’ than the earlier versions of the Wuhan Virus, susceptibility to it might be irrelevant. What would be important is: “does it create antibodies that prevent reinfection of ALL the earlier variants”? If it does, and is also easily survivable, it’s good to have around since it’s likely to kill off all versions of it.
