Fauci takes 6000 IUs a day. 5000 may not be enough. It depends on the individual. I was taking 10000 IUs and my vitamin D level went to 100, so now I have backed off to 6000 like the evil Dr Fauci.
So for those of us who don’t have our blood tested weekly, how much D3 should you take each day to get above 50?
Since March of 2020, my wife and I have taken daily doses of D3, B Complex, Magnesium, Zinc and C… I used to get a bout of bronchitis almost every year prior to then… we get barely a sniffle since then. We don’t mask and pretty much live our lives as we always have. I’m convinced those supplements are just as effective as, if not more than, vaccines.
I live in the golf hub of the desert SW. it’s sunny every day of the year. When the virus hit I was taking a multi vitamin and mineral. Heard about vitamin D so took 2500iu daily for about 4 mos and had a normal checkup
which included blood tests. My reading for D was 30. I was obviously deficient in D prior to supplementing and in the minimum range after having supplemented. Upped to 5000 right away. Recommend check it out.

Not impressed. Correlation vs. Causation.
Vitamin D doesn’t cause good health. It is a result of good health.
Vitamin D is the ‘sunshine vitamin’.
Healthy people tend to be more active and get more sunshine and more Vitamin D.
Unhealthy people tend to be less active and get less sunshine and less Vitamin D.
Healthy people are less susceptible to Covid.
All those moments at the podium, and Dr. Fauci doesn’t recommend that the rest of us take Vitamin D like he does. Nor is it permissible treatment protocol.
One of the first acts from our government overlords was to close all the beaches.
I don’t know. I was admitted to the hospital with the ‘rona in July. Vitamin D at 45. Still got pneumonia. Still was on high-flow O2 at 100%, max flow, still a step away from the ventilator, still hospitalized for 25 days.
And my wife, who has a good count, too, was sick for weeks with the ‘ro.
I’m persuaded that if most folks had had a good Vitamin D level, we’d have reduced the death count considerably, but I’m skeptical about “nearly all.”
WOLVERINES!!!
That's been my dose since the 1990s and I almost never even get a common cold.
I take 2,000 IU in sunny months, and 5,000 with K2 mid-Fall to mid-Spring.
And except as you age. I've read that Vitamin D production goes down as you get older.
And except as your shadow is longer than you are tall. Another way of saying, "Except when you there is not enough seasonally available - usually when you need it most"
This is what should have been done. Improve people’s level of vitamin D and then see what else has to be done if anything.
Thanks!!!
Hopefully, others will find your link helpful as well.
Don’t forget Magnesium. If you have a magnesium deficiency, you can take all the Vitamin D you want, you won’t be able to absorb it.
I’m on a multivitamin, magnesium, D, C, Zinc and resveratrol
🤣 👍 ☔
I take 5,000 IU normally, K2 from eggs every day, 400 mg magnesium 2X / day, and raise the D3 dose to 10,000 IU if I think I’m getting sick (rarely), along with ivermectin and a couple of other anti-virals. This in addition to the remainder of the anti-covid protocol (zinc picolinate, C, NAC, quercetin, etc, etc.).
Another important one: 10 mg melatonin before bed.
