I loved Barney cross-dressing. Watching the episodes I never thought of it that way though.

You never thought of it that way because you weren’t supposed to. Barney cross-dressing was a joke. We were supposed to laugh at it. It wasn’t being presented as anything that we’re supposed to tolerate, let alone respect, and God forbid, hire them to visit our classrooms and libraries to promote “tolerance”!

“America will evacuate haphazardly and leave $86 billion in weapons behind.”

Too funny!

Barney introduced the occult along with the barber. Opie would be taken in, Andy would be amused. In the end, the joke was on Barney. Seemed innocent, but the subject was explained along with the how to.

My pastor often said when people laugh at sin, they already lost the battle.

Hollywood operates on incrementally saturating the taboo until it isn’t taboo.

“Our son in Vancouver, Canada is now having heart problems and the doctors can’t figure out what is wrong.”

Oh no, I’m so sorry!

I suppose nobody will be researching a treatment for covid caused heart problems. Not until they admit there is an issue.

“No telling what they might add to a drug or when they will cut us off from getting them.”

Just like they added mela..something to pet food, a known poison

But since mash had extremely liberal viewpoints, maybe Klinger cross-dressing was just to get us used to it.

But right, not in the sixties, not with Barney.

“ Pfizer made 24.1 billion in Q3 this year, 268 million a day. ”

And I expect that about $100M a day was funneled back to D.C. politicians and bureaucrats. You get a million…and you get a million…and you get a million…

He made a fugly fish, too....in whatever that strange cartoon was, way back when.

Ah, yes.

The Incredible Mr. Limpet,1964.

Actually saw this in a theatre when I was a wayward lad.

"Meek and mild mannered bookkeeper Henry Limpet has few passions in life. It's mid-1941 and he would love to join the Navy but has been rated 4F. His friend George Stickle is in the Navy and lays it on pretty thick. If Henry could have one thing it would be to become a fish. While on a visit to Coney Island, Henry falls into the water and miraculously gets his wish. Now a fish, he makes friends, Ladyfish and Crusty the hermit crab and loves his new life. He also uses his abilities to help the US Navy locate and sink Nazi U-Boats, forcing the Germans to create a new weapon to deal with the Allies secret weapon. When years later the Navy finds intelligent activity among dolphins, they may also know who is teaching them."
