The Exchange.
When Mary had the exchange with the angel of the Lord, He told her the Holy Spirit would overshadow her, and He would somehow bring about a conception and create an embryo with the DNA of a man in her womb! I am amazed at how Jesus would be willing to exchange His place in heaven with the Father to become a man; to become our savior, to come into the world to experience everything we do, to understand us and to pay our debt and make a way for us to be reconciled to the Father when there was none.
Later, when Mary's term was fully come and Jesus was born the wise men came to worship Him and they brought gold, which would fund their later escape to Egypt, frankincense, burial perfumes foretelling of His death, and Myrrh, a pain relieving balm foretelling of his suffering. The shepherds and the wise men and all who saw him exclaimed surely this is a miracle!
When I exchanged vows of marriage with my husband as a young woman I went from a place where there was no television, no celebrations. My husband became my guide to a whole new wonderful world. He grew up in a family that had many good things but did not express tender emotions or touches. I brought to him the completeness of being a man and a woman; we brought our children into the world and exchanged both of our upbringings so that the new creation of our combined hearts would have the family life that we wished we would have had. I remember taking Lamaze classes in anticipation of the birth of our first child. After more than twelve hours of labor I decided that I wanted some pain medicine but my husband reminded me that we agreed not to. After that exchange, I grabbed his shirt front, pulled him close to me in my bed, all worn out and disheveled from the marathon I was laboring in, and punched him in the nose! He quickly got the nurse and the medications!
I am grieved by the people who want to exchange our health for some experimental and poorly understood therapy; who seemingly want us, just like in Lamaze, to focus on something else. Meanwhile we see the reality of people profiting from making sickness a means of controlling a society.
One of my children now faces the coercion of losing her job or else agreeing to submit to an unnecessary and potentially dangerous experimental treatment for a disease that is being proven to be very survivable. We, as her parents, will not let greedy people who would exchange their souls harm our family. Rather, we will exchange our savings and income to help support our children during this hard time. In exchange when we recently gathered for Thanksgiving we had the most precious time.
When we receive salvation, we exchange an old nature for a new one, and mortality for immortality. We exchange ideas as how to have a warm and loving time this Christmas. My heavenly Father tells me that since I am created in His image and likeness to know that He created me to be blessed and not stressed!
To be honest we do not know what Jesus’s DNA consisted of especially since
He probably did not have any descendants.

I remember this coming up in a prayer group lead by an Elder of our church (Disciples of Christ). The Elder, a retired USAF Colonel, said that he had long though on the topic and decided that God probably spoke to his angels saying, I need a volunteer to go down to earth, be born as a human from a woman and teach My people there and die to become their Savior. And an angel, whom we have known as Jesus said, “I volunteer, send me Lord.”
That has made sense to me, but then I was also career military and knew that volunteering for an unknown mission was putting faith in your superiors. Thus the Angel Jesus show His faith in our Father.

No, Jesus was/ is not a former angel, they are created and not equal in character or quality with the Godhead.

That was a greater sacrifice than dying on the cross and returning to Heaven.
