That must be another "Japan". Perhaps in an alternate universe? Because not only is Ivermectin NOT approved for Corona here by the MHW to replace the vaccines, there is hardly any usage. The prime pharmaceuticals used on the other hand, were Pfizer and Moderna. Shionogi is in domestic clinical trials. J and J never approved due to safety concerns. Same with AstraZeneca.

Thank you very much for the reply! That was my sense, that it is a rare bird in Japan using ivermectin, although I have no proof. The notion among the ivermectin enthusiasts persists. I have tried to dissuade folks from thinking it is widely used there, but, as you can see, with little to no effect:
