This Wasn't Supposed to Happen! US COVID Deaths In 2021 Have Surpassed 2020’s Total… Despite Vaccines, Treatments

COVID-19 has killed more people in 2021 than 2020.

The virus was reported as the underlying cause of death (or a contributing cause of death) for an estimated 377,883 people in 2020, accounting for 11.3% of deaths, according to the CDC. As of Monday, more than 770,000 people have died from the coronavirus, according to Johns Hopkins University data. That means over 15,000 more people have died in 2021 than last year from COVID-19 – and there's still more than a month left.

This has happened despite the fact that last year no Americans were vaccinated (now 59% of all eligible Americans have had the "life-saving" jab) and some 17% have received booster shots...

The 2021 U.S. death toll caught some doctors by surprise. They had expected vaccinations and precautionary measures like social distancing and scaled-down public events to curb the spread of infections and minimize severe cases. But, The Wall Street Journal has its own explanation, suggesting lower-than-expected immunization rates as well as fatigue with precautionary measures like masks allowed the highly contagious Delta variant to spread, largely among the unvaccinated, epidemiologists say.

Among missteps, Dr. Abraar Karan, an infectious-diseases doctor at Stanford University, said, public-health officials failed to effectively communicate that the purpose of vaccines is to protect against severe cases of Covid-19 rather than to prevent the spread of infection entirely, which may have led some to doubt the effectiveness of the shots.

CDC has an excuse too, claiming that there was a larger undercount of Covid-19 deaths in 2020, when the disease was newer and a scarcity of tests made confirming some infections difficult.

Deaths remain concentrated in older people (81% of 2020 deaths were among people aged 65 and above, and 69% of the same cohort in 2021).

Still could be worse (and still could be if this latest trend continues in the US)...

“The vaccine is not a panacea,” said Ana Bento, an epidemiologist at Indiana University-Bloomington.

Well that's pretty clear now, eh!?

This wasn't supposed to happen...

It protects because they say it does and you must get the jab and all 300 boosters because PedoJoe says you must put this in your body or you never work again.

Better to be fired by twelve than boosted by six.

I don't think the math works in this article's example, because there were no recorded deaths for the first three months of 2020.

If I look at this from a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), using "periods" instead of years, with 2020 having 9 periods (months) and 2021 having 11 periods, each beginning with a value of 1, and 2020 ending with 377,883 and 2021 ending with 392,117, I get a 2020 CAGR of 317% and a 2021 CAGR of 222%.

This suggests that the growth rate of deaths in the nine months of 2020 was higher than the growth rate of deaths in the eleven months of 2021.

I'm not concluding that the slower growth rate of deaths in 2021 is due to the vaccinations, as it can also be attributed to people staying home and distancing themselves from large crowds.

I think the best that can be concluded is that people were more aware of the situation in 2021 and took measures appropriate to their own situations, whether that was a vaccination, vitamins and minerals, or isolation.

Are there any examples of the vax lowering Covid risk?

But we had no treatments and vaccines at all in 2020. Now we have MCA, Ivermectin, vaccines, people still working from home, etc and death rates are about the same if you minus the last three months of this year.

I’m one of those people that believes you can’t stop a virus. But the media puts blame on Trump, DeSantis and so forth why aren’t Dems blamed?

These are deaths from the shots being reported as Covid deaths.

Notice how they don’t mention “vaccination status” of those who died.

RE: Are there any examples of the vax lowering Covid risk?

Actually if you look at things objectively as a percentage of the population, the HOSPITALIZATION RATE of those unvaxxed remain much higher than those who are vaxxed ( emphasis on percentage, not absolute numbers ).

Regarding your graph. I’d like to believe that Ivermectin played a huge role in the case drops, but even the Japanese health authorities don’t officially acknowledge this.

Where can you find those numbers and are they accurate since it appears the opposite in Israel, Britain, Gibraltar and MA.

“Treatments”

smh, unless that’s now a synonym for “murder” (Remdesivir & ventilators under ‘protocols’)

If deaths are higher and 60-70% are vaxed, how can that be unless you are saying unvaxed are dying at a rate of over 100%? Shouldn’t deaths be down 60-70% just by the vaxed being taken out of the pool?

It is not working.

I would like to believe so as well, but Japan has still not approved ivermectin for Covid. One wonders how many Japanese people are using ivermectin for Covid, considering this:

“A physician-led clinical study by Japan’s Kitasato University on ivermectin as a Covid-19 treatment is ongoing, but public broadcaster NHK reported on August 23 that it struggled to recruit participants.”
Link: https://factcheck.afp.com/http%253A%252F%252Fdoc.afp.com%252F9M48JR-1

It appears ivermectin may have some small effect, but measuring a small effect requires a large-scale study, and we do not have results of such a study yet.

RE: Japan has still not approved ivermectin for Covid.

Yes, but we do know that the Japanese health authorities, unlike those in the west, do not actively suppress any doctors who prescribe Ivermectin for their patients.

Unfortunately, We don’t know how prevalent these Ivermectin prescriptions are given country-wide. It’s not being tracked unlike vaccinations.

True, we don’t know how many people in Japan are actually using ivermectin. We simply don’t know. It looks like they were warning against ivermectin use back in February:

https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2021/02/21/national/drugs-import-coronavirus/

This article suggests people who were taking it were getting it from importers rather than by prescription. Perhaps that changed in the meantime, but given they are having trouble recruiting participants for the clinical study, it appears the Japanese are not overwhelmingly enthusiastic about it.

It stands to reason only a fairly small percentage of the total population are using it, too few to affect overall Covid case rates. But again, we do not know the actual numbers. Nothing can be proven either way.

It’s the mRNA gene therapies that’s doing it.

Normally when a real vaccine is rolled out deaths go down and not up. Moreover, they do not need boosters every 6 months because your natural immunity learns how to defeat the virus.

How many people are going to have to die until people realize this?

Wake up people!

The only good news about this is the fact you need a booster tells me the jabs only work for 6 months. So just do not get a booster under any circumstance and you may be able to beat this.

death rates are about the same if you minus the last three months of this year.

Still, that's comparing a 9 month (2020) period to an 8 month period (2021) of absolute numbers from a lumpy series.

I calculated the CAGR for a 9 period series of data to a CAGR for an 11 period series of data, and then compared the CAGR.
