A Key West doctor who participated in a Florida anti-vaccination summit now has COVID

Seven doctors who gathered at a COVID anti-vaccination summit in Florida to tout the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin and other alternative measures for preventing the transmission of the coronavirus now have contracted COVID-19, The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday. One of the doctors — Dr. Bruce Boros — is from the Florida Keys. Boros, of Key West, told the Miami Herald in September 2020 that he had been giving ivermectin — commonly used as a dewormer for cows, horses and other livestock — to COVID patients.

Media propaganda is easy to spot in that due to a combination of laziness, lack of verification, and herd mentality, they keep using the same phrase. The latest, not related to Covid, was the endless reference to Rittenhouse having “crossed state lines”, as if this is a crime.

The media is a low fiber bleached flour muffin with a few “raisins” of actual reporting.

Dr. Bruce Boros left a thriving cardiologist practice a few years ago. I thought he had (only) retired to Key West.

I overheard him talking in his office lobby, and thought, “This is the ONE doctor I want to treat my CHF heart condition”. I was only able to meet him once, which strongly reinforced my previous impression. Later, I read he was “investigating Ivermectin” during the first year of the pandemic. He’s of a “fire plug” physical build, and looked “strong as a horse”. (Ivermectin-association unintended).

As it turned out, I had worked in the MDPD Crime Scene Investigation Unit with his brother in Miami.

Of course, I wish him well for a complete recovery.

So someone (a doctor in this case) didn't get vaxxed and got Covid. So what? The unspoken assertion here is that if he had taken the vax, he would not have contracted Covid, which we here all know is a complete lie.

This article is also deliberately vague on Bruce Boros' condition, only saying it's 'serious' according to unattributed sources. Googling up other articles on this matter (which are plentiful, since the leftmedia is always glad to trumpet stories like this) yield no better result.

The good doctor is 71, which does increase his risk, but I'm 60, and my bought with Covid last August was about a four on the ten-scale. For all we know, he's already recovering, although we can be sure that the same propagandists who are breathlessly predicting his imminent demise won't be so quick to report that.

The article and this thread isn’t really about vaccines. Perhaps in a roundabout way but not directly.

The SPOKEN assertion is clear but you must have missed it.

This well known Doctor and his wife were taking Ivermectin tabs for 16 months and he still got infected with Covid and possible is seriously ill presently.

That’s the only point here.

In my opinion, what I get out of this article is that a well known Doctor within the anti-Covid-vaccine community is or was convinced the Ivermectin is the best treatment and cure for Covid.

The Doctor and his wife have been taking Ivermectin Tabs for 16 months, and now the same Doc has Covid and He might have a serious case.

That’s all there is to this.

I think Ivermectin can help with symptoms with mild cases of Covid.
But beyond that and if infection sets in, Ivermectin is useless.
It’s not an antibiotic and it’s not an anti-inflammatory.

That’s really the only point. I didn’t see the news of this Doc posted and I’m aware the he is very popular in certain circles.

I didn't miss anything. The assertion is that Ivermectin is useless, which is false.

The unspoken assertion, just as important and which you don't want to acknowledge for some reason, is that the doctor should have been vaxxed instead. The irony of his being so vocal against the Covid 'vaccine' is just sugar on top.

If you don't think media outlets like the Miami Herald aren't happy to push the vaxx at every and any opportunity, you are kidding yourself.

Not saying many media outlets aren’t pushing vaccines.

I am saying that Ivermectin has its limits and along with that, Covid is unpredictable as it seems to infect people in different ways.

Some people get mild cases, others can be devastated by it and need months to recover, still others it’s worse.

Relying only on Ivermectin for moderate to severe cases can cause issues.

Not saying to run out and get vaccinated, and I’m not saying Ivermectin is useless. Both are a choice.

And both have their limits.

The only thing different from any other flu was when I noticed an absolute lack of sense of smell, which was a bit weird.

I went into the bathroom and sprayed all the air fresheners and cologne I had and - nothing.

Other than that it was just like any other flue I had.

That could be true in this case. Using it to ward off covid without being infected could be a mistake, I am not sure. But if you catch covid, it should be readily available to anyone who wants it.

I believe if people want those shots, then do it. Nobody should be coerced or forced with threats of punishment if they do not.

People should have any opportunity that they wish and want regarding their own life.

Many medications are withheld from the general public because being dispensed by a Pharmacist can add to the price, and the Pharmacist gets in on that too.

Ivermectin should be an OTC (Over the Counter) drug.
It’s less dangerous than many common medications we have available OTC.

My view is that’s cliche’, consistent with the narrative of the myth of ‘asymptomatic transmission’. There was no ‘Sturgis spike’, nor any identifiable outbreak following a concert, sporting or other event in the past year. The ONLY evidence of an outbreak scenario has either been workplace outbreaks (certainly symptomatic) or Provincetown (the only evidence of asymptomatic transmission).

The Chinese started the asymptomatic spread myth to support the fear-based aspect of the virus and both the media & government have seen fit to fan those flames.

I was merely correcting your mistaken promotion of propaganda.

That stated, the propaganda has certainly been ratcheting up in the past couple weeks - including this story - to support the fear-based narrative. I hazard to suggest that we’ll be seeing repeated citations of Thanksgiving cases by a media hungry to earn its payola included in the “PAYOFF BILL”, and I predict not a one of the ‘cases’ to be cited will amount to anything...except ‘vaccinated transmission/infection’.
