You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

I didn’t think this quote was about Pee Wee Herman.
2 min.
1st word (3 letter common word) gives a 4 letter word near the end.
Wrong guess at word 3; correct that, and it’s pretty easy.

I thought I'd post this clue before Magnum44 posts a variation of it and really spills the beans. Only tangential clues, folks. Although his Fargo clue from last night was as tangential as they come, it gave me the creeps, and I reported the abuse to the moderator, to no avail of course, because he or she loves Magnum's "sick" clues.

Hey, I’m on mountain time and I like my beauty sleep. If you post at 1:00 am in the morning and there are 15 or 20 responses before I even wake up, I have to ‘go to the wood pile’ to find a clue that hasn’t already been posted. Fargo was a great movie, by the way.

Nikos, I couldn’t understand your chicken image significance until I got the last word. Than it made sense and I had to laugh.

Tricky.
Got two common letters in the right spot.
Took a flyer on author first name
Got another vowel in place
pushed through to solving the puzzle
To: nikos1121
Well that was a flight of fancy.
