Boudin's refusal to prosecute has turned San Francisco into another socialist crime-pit, Caracas.

In the early 80s I used the Bank of Caracas to finance a lease for an airline that had shaky credit.

The APR was 25%, yep, not 2.5% but TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT, ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE.

In today's world the idea of that kind of a rate is unthinkable, but with run away inflation, don't be surprised when the financial/government world realizes that hyper pumping of interest rates is the natural outgrowth.

We've seen it before, and it can happen again, and if it does, the interest on the national debt will cause such financial pain that only war or depression or some other major event will cure it.

The world supply chain is so intertwined, that an old fashioned war will probably not solve the problem {even if we could win, which is an open question}.

San Francisco is beyond repair without major political changes that are revolutionary in nature.

I don't see it happening, but when the thug invasion moves into the wealthy burbs {Walnut Creek} the rich will do what they always do, protect their own using their money to buy muscle.

History repeats, here come the Earp brothers {straight out of "Special Forces"}.

Interesting comparison. The Earps were strong Republicans, and the Clantons were Democrats.4

Victor Davis Hanson frequently talks about the REALLY tough guys that are called on to solve problems like Sherman, LeMay, and Trump. People love the results, but are eventually repulsed by their tough, often brutal methods and, after they have accomplished their mission, unceremoniously dump them. Hanson observes that this is the theme of so many classic American Western tales like Liberty Valence and Shane.
