Dobie Gillis had an older brother for a few episodes. I think the part was played by Dwayne Hickman’s actual older brother.
But having just finished watching the entire series on DVD I can honestly say continuity was non-existent on that show. Very very bad.
It has to be half a century later since my last viewing, but I can still hear it. Of course as well there was Maynard G Crebs, and Zelda.
‘You Rang?’
Our childhoods were incredibly influenced by those TV programs.
Bad Boys, The Shawshank Redemption, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs... good character actor.
Oh no, not Chuck?
Remember that Mork and Mindy was a spinoff from Happy Days, and in the episode Mork is watching The Andy Griffith Show, and remarks “Love that Opie!”
Thanks.

I’ve totally confused him with William Atherton.
“Donna” on ‘That 70s Show’ had a younger sister “Tina” who disappeared after one episode.
Manny Fraker! Best movie bad guy ever!
What happened to Sgt. "Kinch" Kinchloe on "Hogan's Heroes" is distinct from what happened to Chuck Cunningham on "Happy Days" - and also from what happened to Darrin Stephens on "Bewitched."
The character of "Chuck Cunningham" was simply written out of the storyline. After the actor left the series, no further mention of "Chuck" was made - and, within-universe, "Richie" gradually became the first-born. For example, the parents would increasingly refer to having only two children. So the existence of "Chuck Cunningham" was retroactively erased from the series.
In the case of "Darrin Stephens" in "Bewitched," the actors Dick York and Dick Sargent were swapped out, but the character of "Darrin Stephens" was retained without change - and with no mention of any alteration in the physical appearance of said character. (Though there had been talk among the scriptwriters of explaining it as the effect of a curse or some-such; that idea was dropped.)
In the case of "Kinch," both the actor and the character left the show and were replaced with a suspiciously similar actor and character ("Sgt. Washington" - an electronics expert also played by a Black actor). Sadly, no explanation was ever offered on-screen for the disappearance of "Kinch." Did he escape? Was he killed? Did he defect to the Germans?
Regards,
i remember chuck... he was a really tall basketball player that went off to college (pretty sure i watched the first season as it aired)
Jerry Seinfeld had a different father on the show then the one most people are familiar with on his show.
Played the stepfather in a really bad sequel to Pet Cemetery.
