MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A regular school carpool lane in Memphis escalated into a high-speed chase.
Shundreka Williams has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault and violation of vehicle registration, according to police.
Williams’ white Ford Explorer sped through the Getwell Elementary parking lot, nearly colliding with another vehicle.
The owner of the car that was nearly hit honked her horn, and Williams became enraged, according to affidavit.
She allegedly stalked the woman through the campus and threatened her repeatedly.
Williams then proceeded to follow the victim out of the school.
The victim drove her son to American Way Middle School to drop him off, and Williams continued following and harassing her, the affidavit said.
Williams slammed into the victim’s car at a red light after they left the school, police said.
Then she started throwing things at the victim’s car.
Williams rammed the victim a third time when she came to a red light, police said.
The victim’s chest collided with the steering wheel that time.
Williams got out of the car and walked to the passenger door, yelling “B****, I’ll shoot you!” and brandishing a black handgun, the affidavit said.
Williams was identified in a six-person lineup by the victim.
She is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning, records show.

Many moons ago probably 25 years, we went to Tunica Miss. for a short vacation. One of the days we tired of gambling and took a steamboat excursion on the mighty river. The captain was a dignified old fellow of southern charm, almost the sort you could imagine 150 years ago doing the same thing.
I asked him (while he was actually talking on the intercom) how far we were from Memphis and if he would go up to it if we gave him a nice tip.
Without missing a beat he drawled in a most perfect Southern accent “ I’m sorry Suh. This vessel is inappropriately armed for such an excursion. Why we would need at least 4 inch guns to attempt such a thing!”. The audience to a person responded with good natured laughter.
That was a quarter century ago, Makes me wonder if he is still alive and what he would say now in the current state.

If you do that in Memphis you'll be mugged three times before you get there and your car will be sitting on cinderblocks with the wheels stolen when you get back.
