Lost in this entire debate is the complete breakdown of law enforcement and encouragement of rioting by local and state elected officials. Had the Kenosha police simply done their job, there would be no need for Rittenhouse to show up.
True. BUMP!
Exactly right.
The frigging prosecutor kept asking Kyle why he didn’t dial 911 I was SCREAMING at the TV, are you kidding me WHERE THE HELL WERE THE COPS in the first place?? Like a 911 call would have been answered!!!
When the politicians order the police to stand down it creates a void. And when the rioters and arsonists and looters move in to that void, ordinary citizens get disgusted with the lack of police protection, they step in to the place the police should have been.
And Kyle ran/walked/ rushed to get to the police to tell them he shot someone and their answer was ‘Let’s go Brandon.”
Kyle testified that they told him to
“ go.....himself and “ and he turned and left.
I couldn’t believe my ears. The whole “incident” that followed the police encounter could have been avoided.
I’d like to hear THAT COP’S NAME.
Yep.
Impossible. The Kenosha police department was completely overwhelmed. Absent State Police / National Guard involvement what happened in Kenosha (and I'm speaking in overall terms) was inevitable.
As I watched the footage of that young man, Kyle Rittenhouse, on the stand, my heart broke for him, and then, a furious, smoking anger replaced that sorrow.
And I had the exact same thought you did, Extremely Extreme Extremist. That young man is going to carry the scars of that night for the rest of his life, scars he will bear for doing what was right.
If the government we elected to pass laws, the government we pay taxes to, the police forces paid by those taxes, had done their damned jobs as we elected and hired them to do in this society, Kyle Rittenhouse wouldn’t have had to man the ramparts at the young age of 17 to perform the tasks so many people cravenly or for ideology or Judas silver abandoned and put him in that spot.
May they all rot in Hell. Every damned one of them.
They brought that up, because it's a good point.
