Republican Governor @BillLeeTN is refusing to sign a bill, which:
- Bans COVID-19 vaccine mandates
- Clampdown on vaccine passports
- Provides doctors with the right to prescribe what is best
- Protects workers from vaccine discrimination
@seanmdav
The Tennessee legislature passed a sweeping bill banning COVID-19 vaccine mandates and protecting individuals from discrimination by government and corporate entities. That was over a week ago.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has thus far refused to sign it.

WTF?
These people seem to want war.
Deep State owns this one, too...
Can the TN legislature override a pocket veto?
All may not be lost...
https://www.capitol.tn.gov/about/billtolaw.html
“The Governor may sign the bill; veto it; or allow it to become law without his signature. The Governor is allowed ten days (Sundays excepted) after a bill is presented to him to approve or veto the bill; if he takes no action within that period, the bill becomes a law without his signature. The Governor also has constitutional authority to reduce or disapprove any sum of money appropriated in any bill while approving other portions of such bill.
If the Legislature is still in session, the Governor returns all bills and joint resolutions to the house of origin after he has taken action. After adjournment of the General Assembly, bills are returned by the Governor to the Office of the Secretary of State.
If the Governor has vetoed a bill or reduced or disapproved an appropriation within a bill, the veto can be overridden, or reduced or disapproved sums of money restored, by a majority vote of the membership to which each body is entitled under the Constitution.”
Not sure of TN law, but I recall that a bill will become law after a time if not signed and not vetoed.
Republicans help us for our own good.
You’re on the nosey! See my reply #6. :-)
Unfortunately, money talks.
I did see it, my post was 1 second after yours.
If you believe the government cannot legitimately order businesses to impose masks, vaccines, etc., then why can the government legitimately order business not to?
I have no problem with a business making that decision. I will simply go somewhere else. I had been visiting a local shop here for over 20 years. Long after it was no longer “required” by the junta in Albany this place still insisted on masks. That was a year ago. As far as I know they still do. I spend my money elsewhere
Sounds simple until you have to labs done or lots of other medical visits or similar
the GOP is the most evil organization in the USA
with its sisters ANTIFA and DNC.
this alone suggests that the (useless) RINO Gov
DID ALLOW the FEMA-CCP guillotines
and the rampant DNC/RINO Election Fraud in?
Allow the bill to become law by not signing it or vetoing it? Sign it, Bill Coward Lee!
If that’s what he’s doing, allowing it to become law without his signature, that’s pretty gutless to my mind.
Disgraceful.

I would refuse to sign it too, and I’m as conservative as they come. Why would a conservative oppose Biden mandating private business vaccines, but support state moratoriums on private business vaccine mandates?
Governments need to stay the hell out of conditions of private employment. If an employer thinks they can attract customers by claiming 100% vaccination rates then good on them. If such an employer loses valuable employees by imposing such a mandate then the employer will lose out.
It’s called “employment at will”, and it’s at the heart of conservatism.
That’s been one of the age old tricks of The GOP, making sure rinos are elected in cherry red states.
Not only th I s, but he issued an executive order 2 months ago that rounds people up, takes away their guns and kids. And forces state directed medical and psychological treatments to those who do not cooperate with state mandated health policies.
I live in TN and it is deep red, but we keep electing RINOs.
