This is sure to be real popular.
Thanksgiving is the celebration of individual freedom and capitalism over the failed model of communism / socialism.
The Pilgrims were founded under a commune / socialism arrangement and most of them died or were in the process of dying from starvation. The charter was changed to an individual freedom / capitalist model and they quickly achieved bumper harvests. The first Thanksgiving was a celebration of that harvest, brought on by individual freedom as opposed to death by starvation under a commune model.
Any nearby Indians were bit players in this classical example of freedom vs socialism.
IMHO of course.
I'm imagining a group comprised entirely of the regular, same few unwashed campus marxists whose only purpose in life it is to be angry, and a handful of obese, angry lesbians with turquoise hair.
Only if you don’t read the witnesses interpretation of the events. “individual freedom and capitalism over the failed model of communism / socialism.”
The witnesses stated in their account that the cause was God’s punishment/instruction pertaining to the laziness/greed of the pilgrims. And God forgave them and blessed them with a turn around of events, blessing them with a bountiful harvest after repentance.
Can you imagine being one of these perpetually-aggrieved killjoy a-holes?
“Tough topics” my butt. They get off on the smug self-righteousness that comes from k owing your more virtuous than everyone else
Seems they want to be put out of business.

The left’s objection to Thanksgiving and most other traditional cultural celebrations has nothing to do with the underlying historic basis of the events. Their philosophy demands that they must destroy all “old” cultural norms of the majority dominant culture and replace them with their own ideologigical pure practices in order to cement their power over people.
This was seen in the French Revolution, the Bolshevek Revolution, the Red Chinese revolution in 1949 and the subsequent Cultural Revolution in 1966 to wipe out people’s memory of the famine and death caused by Mao’s crackpot ideas. This revolution focussed on destroying the four “olds” old ideas, old customs, old habits and old culture.
Yeah, what a miserable existence. That’s no kind of life to live. Wonder if when they’re old if they’ll regret wasting their years.
“Indigenous” is another one of those words that give cultural Marxists away, along with “critical,” “denier,” “equity,” “justice,” “phobic,” “privilege,” “struggle,” “systemic,” and my all time pet peeve, capitalizing “Black” but not “white.”
The Pilgrims about starved under their own socialism.
Strange that they came to be free and thought to yoke themselves to mediocrity right away.
People want to govern their own footsteps.
What’s really needed is for more people to decide, “Enough, go to Hell wokesters”.
The whole scam of the Woke, is to make people feel guilty about some injustice. The only cure, is for people to decide they don’t feel like being made guilty.
“Native American Gender Identities.”
George Catlin found what the tribes thought of homosexuals. He planned to do a painting of a “Dandy’ or “Fop” as he called them, and the chiefs said he must destroy the painting of the pervert or destroy the paintings of the chiefs as they did not want their portraits in the same lodge as the Homo’s.
Catlin destroyed the painting of the homo.
Yes, I was underinformed. It looks like both Plymouth AND Jamestown made the same initial mistake.
They're miserable people, and resent others who are not miserable. I think in some cases they're actually mentally ill.
I don’t know much about Jamestown or have forgotten. Except there was a word carved somewhere or something.
Why? Because the pilgrim socialist experiment failed and Thanksgiving is a celebration of capitalism with the Indians?
A lot of society’s current problems are because mental illness has been normalized. The gender nonsense is the most obvious, but it extends to many other areas of wokeness.
