On Friday, HBO’s Bill Maher fired back at leftist Vanderbilt University professor Michael Eric Dyson after Dyson claimed parents were “spooked by Critical Race Theory.” Maher retorted, “I find that a disingenuous argument because I don’t think that is what people are objecting to.”
Dyson stated, “The point is parents who were spooked by Critical Race Theory, none of whom can define it, when you ask them what it is, they don’t know.”
“I find that a disingenuous argument because I don’t think that is what people are objecting to, Maher responded. “They are not objecting to black history being taught. There are other things going on in the schools.”
“Like what?” Dyson sneered.
“Like separating children by race and describing them as either oppressed or oppressor. I mean, there are children coming home who feel traumatized by this. That‘s what parents are objecting to,” Maher answered.
He really went with that Dog Whistle?
Dyson is a racist.
I’m so confused, I agree with Maher.

“separating...” Hmmm interesting. Lets just separate everyone into oppressed and oppressor groups and see how that works out. Seems like a step back in time if you ask me. Is this what biden calls “unifying”?
The Left loves to make up reasons why other people disagree with their demands.
Don’t allow it. The reason isn’t “spooked”, the reason is realization of improper political propagandizing of children, which attempts to turn children against their parents.

Wow. Maher hits the nail right on the head. This is becoming more than “a broken watch is right two times a day” kind of thing with him.
Maher is now saying important things to an audience that would not otherwise hear them. So in this instance Maher is providing a valuable service.
(And yes, I know that Maher is a jerk, and he has said some truly disgusting things in the past.)
The theory rests on the premise that racial bias - intentional or not - is baked into U.S. laws and institutions. Black Americans, for example, are incarcerated at much higher rates than any other racial group, and the theory invites scrutiny of the criminal justice system's role in that.Wouldn't they have to also teach about how black people are treated in other countries — including in African countries — in order to make the case that "racial bias" is "baked into" American laws to a greater extent than it is in other countries?

The question should be why do they have more single parent homes.
This is the world he helped to create. The Revolution always eats its children.

Stopped clock, blind squirrel, etc but yeah, I’m with him on this one too.
But they’re never willing to investigate if criminal behavior is unevenly distributed by race. They start from the presumption that it is not, then of course the differential in incarceration can only be bias. But if you want to discuss bias, what about preemptively taking plausible explanations off the table before beginning the “discussion”?
Bill Maher is either taking a non-woke viewpoint just to stir up controversy or he’s slowly starting to see how destructive modern liberalism is. I actually think it’s the latter.
