That's what the global elite has in store for you.
In her remarkable trilogy entitled The Bourgeois Era, Deirdre McCloskey studies the history, evolution, and importance of the middle class from its rise in Western Europe some 400 years ago to the magnificent heights of affluence and power it enjoys today. It is the middle class that made Western Europe and America the great powers they have been for centuries and that has created a standard of living beyond anything imaginable before.
From the beginning, the intelligentsia, the modern-day descendants of medieval scholars and scribes, sought to undermine the middle class and to preserve the hierarchical class structure with which they identified. That is the same autocratic class structure that Hillary had in mind when she labeled ordinary Americans "deplorables" or that explains the creepy hypocrisy of Biden's working-class persona.
While the idea of "lords and ladies" may seem like ancient history, the fact is that the reactionary thinking of the court intelligentsia is still very much with us. The leaders of today's Democrat party view themselves as more intelligent and entitled than the mass of deplorables whom they were born to govern.
Not just that: The intelligentsia is determined to eliminate the middle class, whose values and political interests are so much opposed to their own insistence on centralized control. To this end, today's progressives are doing all they can to block the path to the middle class — a path that expanded dramatically under President Trump. It is not in the left's interest to have a broad, inquisitive, educated, assertive middle class demanding the right to govern themselves.

Why do sociopaths always come up with the same ideas?
“Americans(?)” will do whatever their overlords tell them. But only if everyone else is required to do the same.
If an individual has to do without then everyoneust suffer.
The reward is knowing we are all on this together.
That's like asking 'why is the rum always gone?'.
The right to self-determine is fundamental. No matter what the self-selected 'elite' try to do, it will always fail - eventually. The problem is that many people's lives can be destroyed waiting for that eventuality. The idea that the elitists can only be stopped by a tidal wave at the polls is erroneous. There are many, many ways in which they can and will be stopped. The peaceful ways are preferable.
I don’t want blue skin.
Charlie don’t serf.
We are already serfs....but think we live in a free country...D.C. regulates everything....the only one left is to move from one state to another
In the correct implementation of our Constitution, that would be true. The states were meant to serve as “laboratories” for government that would allow people to freely go from one to another in the pursuit of individual and economic freedom.
For example, Arizona should be allowed to run its elementary schools as it sees fit, under rules of its own making. If someone living in Nevada has children in schools that the state is running poorly, parents might well move to Arizona and settle there to get their children a better education.
And this should go on with everything from taxes down to farming regulations.
And that is where the current problem lies. Washington wants to run everything at every level and make the state governments moot. The beasts want a monolithic Federal Government.
And that isn’t what this country is about. I don’t know why the states seem to go along with this.
Biden (and his puppeteers) is turning the Road to Serfdom Hayek warned about into the Autobahn to Serfdom.
Some people actually believe in “we’re all in this together” ... along with other delusions such as “better safe than sorry” and “it’s for the children”.
“The older dictators fell because they could never supply their subjects with enough bread, enough circuses, enough miracles, and mysteries. Under a scientific dictatorship, education will really work’ with the result that most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution. There seems to be no good reason why a thoroughly scientific dictatorship should ever be overthrown.”

Well played, sir.
