Yawn. More virtue signaling. You still depict massive violence on the screen, hypocrite. They all do.
I still remember when Bobby Kennedy was murdered. In the anti-gun hysteria that followed, the”glorification of violence” was blamed and federal Laws were called for.
TV shows were blamed. Pulp fiction covers were blamed. Comic books were blamed. Movies were blamed. Toy guns were blamed.
Toy guns disappeared from the stores.
TV shows for adults, but still safe for kids, were dumbed down to kiddie shows.
Pulp fiction covers were changed to less blood and guts.
Comic books were changed.
Old movies shown on TV were butchered to remove “violence”.
But the movie industry got a pass when they said they would “police themselves” with a joke of a Ratings code. GMRX.
With the Hays code now gone, movie scenes were reshot to add more blood, guts, violence and lots of sex to get the coveted “R” and “X” ratings.
Within five years some Comic Books became adult oriented!
And now, TV is back with it’s super violence far beyond anything pre-1968.
Tire irons, baseball bats, etc. don't count I guess.
