KEYWORDS: todayscryptogram
You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days.  If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!

I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.

   HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER

One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

First time I ever tried this.... not sure how long it took, but once it started to fill in it was a few minutes thereafter.

My mine is getting inquisitive now.

I will look for your posts in the future!

I wonder now looking at him if his buddy was named Skipper for a variety of reasons.

About a minute. I started looking for the first letters of the two-letter words until I figured out the long word (the 7th word). The rest opened up from there.

1:04.74 I solved it by taking a stab at the double letter in NSSL which gave me SVVSWPEMQPQIH (notice the same letter in 1st and 4th positions), which opened it up. However, once I saw the author (5-5-7 pattern) I realized that the author's name was obvious and that line of attack would have been faster.

SM...SG has a limited number of likely candidates...which led to the long word and the then simple solution.

Yeah, it was always little buddy.

Every episode was silliness, I mean to the max degree. They were all a bunch of retards except maybe the scientist, but he too was stupid.

Jumper, you did good. Most people take ten minutes or more for days.

DO YOU CAN DO BE ON OUR PING LIST? IF SO, let us both know.
