I'm sure he's giving it all to charity.

I think they see the bottom falling out of the market with streaming audio paying so little in royalties, and fewer people paying to “own” a copy.

He’s 72 years old. Probably doesn’t have much time left. Better to sell his catalog now.
To: nickcarraway
I’ll buy it for tree fiddy.

He’s toast. $450mm?
Bob Dylan only got $300mm.

If I was Sony I’d tell him he could stick his songs “in the dark”.

The weird dude was popular in 1985. Since then, nothing. $415 million. Yeah, right.

His music isn’t worth that kind of money, i can only think of about two songs he did i would even recognize.

I worked as a professional musician for over 30 years, 4000+ jobs.
And, never met another musician who liked playing his songs.
There’s the saying, “no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public”
He’s proof the same is true about music.
Sorry BS fans.

Springsteen recently sat down with Obama while Obama proceeded to rip on white people and Bruce was simply nodding in agreement. His blue-collar schtick is just that - a marketing gimmick. He’s just as elitist as John Kerry.

I never “got it”. Just the other day I allowed myself to ponder it again. I actually change the channel when he comes on. Ramones, too.
I was thinking about all those people who think he’s great … and I wouldn’t pay $415.00.

I wouldn’t give a dime over 400. Dollars.
