Republican Winsome Sears defeated Democrat Hala Ayala in Virginia's lieutenant governor race.
Sears is the first Black woman elected to a statewide office in Virginia.

Not so fast.
As always, democrat Fairfax county is holding back its numbers.
They are projected to give McAwful a 100,000 - 130,000 boost in the remaining precincts which is about Sears current lead.
