I didn’t know that. Supplements seem to be working, according to the test company something like up to 90 ng/ml was still in the “good” category, with good category starting at 25 if I remember.

You CAN overdo the D, but I believe that the daily recommended is below what we can actually tolerate and should be getting.
D absorption is also affected by body fat.

get your doctor to prescribe D2 (ERGO) 1.25 mg cap EPI - take one every wk for one to two months prn
It will boost your D levels for sure. I have to take 2 per wk b/o a medical condition.

Mine hovers between the high 50s and high 60s and has for more than 10 years. It has improved remarkably since I retired and am outside in the sun for sustained periods of time now. Working in an office was not helpful and I had to stay on top of it starting out at 18 ng/ml. I have to remind the doc to check it during my physicals I’ve managed it since the youngster in Boston wrote his paper in NEJM that got so roundly hammered by the establishment and was later, much later proven right.
Poultry medicine has known about the benefits of D3 for a long time in prevention of disease in flocks, one thing being respiratory disease of the covid flavor.

The last clinical norms I have seen recommend 32 to 100. I have taken like 20,000 IU or more a day until I found out it can poison you.
