Hilaria Baldwin bundled her six children in her car and set off without a destination in mind, once she heard her husband Alec had accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust.”
“I didn’t know where I was going, I just drove,” Baldwin told The Post Saturday during an exclusive interview in Vermont. “I just drove around and around and around with my kids.”
The family was seen leaving their Greenwich Village home Oct. 22, a day after the tragic shooting.
Hilaria tells said she drove for an entire day in search of somewhere out of the public eye, before settling on ski town Manchester, Vermont.
Alec Baldwin spoke publicly about the tragedy for the first time earlier Saturday, with Hilaria by his side, from a Vermont roadside.
Hilaria hoped to be able to protect her husband from scrutiny surrounding his involvement in the accidental fatal shooting

Hilaria worries Alec will develop post-traumatic stress disorder after the incident which killed cinematographer Hutchins, 42, and wounded director Joel Souza, 48.
“I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna’s death,” she said. “Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD.”
“You look at what happens to soldiers and police officers when something like this happens, it’s traumatic. We just came up here for quiet.”
Asked whether Alex would act again, was hopeful but not certain.
“He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health,” she said.

If she was so concerned about keeping him out of the public eye....why did they go shopping in public? Can’t they use amazon?
His lawyer may have told him he needs to develop PTSD to try to avoid prosecution for murder due to his mental condition..

How come he wasn’t arrested or something? sit at least one hour in jail, get fingerprinted?
He’s had the bags for some time as everyone ages. Let’s see what he does when the civil suits hit him. That will be the true test of his character, or lack thereof.

Well I have PTSD due to TDS.
Good one. His actions with the on-coming civil suits will show what he’s made of...I predict he will settle and continue with his crocodile tears. Being a favorite son of Hollywood, I also believe this will blow over and he goes behind the camera as a producer, director, writer, or all.
He’s been mentally ill for years anyway, so it shouldn’t effect him.

Shot somebody and killed them.

This reminds me of closing arguments in the cases trying the Menendez brothers for murdering their parents. Don’t you feel sorry for them? They lost their parents.
