VA does not provide service dogs for physical or mental health conditions, including PTSD.
You are wrong. Period.
That’s according to “A Randomized Trial of Differential Effectiveness of Service Dog Pairing Versus Emotional Support Dog Pairing to Improve Quality of Life for Veterans with PTSD,” released in January 2020 by the Veterans Health Administration’s Office of Research and Development. The report details the results of the second phase of the study, taking place from December 2017 to June 2019 and led by Dr. Joan T. Richerson, assistant chief veterinary medical officer in the Office of Research and Development, and a team of fellow VA researchers.
The study (PDF) occurred at three VA medical centers—Atlanta VA Medical Center; Iowa City Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Iowa City, Iowa; and VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, Oregon—among 227 veteran participants, of whom 181 were paired with a study dog. Ninety-seven got a service dog, and 84 got an emotional support dog.
“No, go read what I posted. They have been studying this since 2017. Sunshine and the homeless vet just might have been part of the study,”
You responded to my post replying to a post which said the dude was provided to this guy by the VA IAW military regulations.
Since he was obviously making this up, I used CAPS.
That is pretty psycho, but there are horror stories everywhere. See what they do with it, whether they circle the wagons or do an unbiased investigation. Regardless of the outcome of the court case what you want is evidence of a good police culture and what they do next will tell the tale.
“No, go read what I posted.”
FROM YOUR LINK:
“The VA has not previously {prior to this new legislation} provided service dogs for veterans with PTSD, “
I think it’s the result of lockdowns and the purposeful destruction of our country. People are being dehumanized, the economy is going down with prices going up, and that’s when things can go south fast.
” from December 2017 to June 2019 “
Since the guy is in NC and his dog was two years old I really doubt he was in the test program.

You agreed to this when you signed up for posting privileges.
This means leave off the the cussing and swear words. No f-bombs. No c-words, no sh-words, etc
Maybe they do for PTSD. 🤭
.
Thanks for the reminder...........LOL!
“Maybe they do for PTSD”
The VA does not prescribe service dogs for PTSD.
You’re making it difficult for anyone to respond to you without profanity. What is your problem?
I was joshing about your spelling in post 49.
.
“You’re making it difficult for anyone to respond to you without profanity. What is your problem?”
1. He was not responding to my posts. He was responding to other very civil posts.
2. If you have concerns regarding my posts please address them directly, otherwise, butt out.
I don’t usually quote wiki, but this seems like a good definition for troll.
“In internet slang, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating others’ perception.”
Its been my experience that the end game can vary from shutting down discussion to getting people to lose their tempers and violate community guidelines so that the troll can tattle and get them banned.
OK!
It’s not my fault you can’t defend the unreasonable things you’ve said on this thread. I’m not the first one to notice. I have no intention of butting out. If you intended it to be a private conversation, you should have used FReepmail.
You’re right. I shouldn’t bother with it. Others have tried to reason with it, but it can’t be reasoned with. It’s purpose is to disrupt.
