You will not believe what you see with your own eyes and hear with own ears....
What kind of bass, striped, largemouth, smallmouth, spotted . . . ?
Bass guitar.
Also, Jeffery Epstein didn’t kill himself.
drummer here.
Awesome, watched most of it. The first guy, Frederico, has great bass lessons. I’m working on his Jacko-style octave play-along lesson most nights right now. I saw Scotty in there too, he has some great lessons. The chops on these people are ridiculously good.
One of the reasons I love Rick Beato’s videos is that he introduces people to guys they never heard of.

Jaco was da bomb
He's what made Metheny's "Bright Size Life" such a great album.
I dunno.
But I'm partial to the White Bass / Striped Bass hybrids, myself...
Incredible the level of musicianship that’s out there.
Chop-aaa!
I actually picked up a bass a few months ago, I practice all the time.
Having issues with technique though. My strings are rattling worse than my exhaust on a dirty road.
Same here... :)
Use the bridge screws and raise them up just a half turn at a time, that’s what I did.
Or play or pick closer to the bridge. That can help too.
That made mr laugh! Thank you!
I’ve got two guitars.. one has a low action the other is high.
I’ve actually raised the action as high as I can even bringing the 12th fret out of tune.
It’s still bad.
I did this in the efforts of trying small. I can’t make a slap sound yet at all.
Granted the low action makes playing real easy when I get the fret just right.
Which is honestly what I should be doing. The rattle is forcing me to make perfect contact on the frets.
I’m also using cheap, but Korean, guitars. A gremlin and a gretsch.
The gremlin is really strict with finger technique but the tone is actually quite rewarding. The gretsch is forgiving but I still get a lot of rattle.
Ultimately I’m still going well with the jamming and perhaps when I’m ready to get into a mainstream, high quality bass I’ll be playing it really well. It gets frustrating but I also understand it may take years of practice and study to get it right.
