Hannah Gutierrez-Reed -- the woman at the center of the "Rust" death investigation -- was also recently tied to the death of a close friend, and her insurance company shelled out big bucks to his family.
According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Reed's friend, Tyler Dyer, was killed in an accident back in August 2020 -- a wreck that also involved her boyfriend, Aaron Butcher. Both men were on motorcycles at the time -- Aaron had borrowed Hannah's.
Tyler's dad tells us all 3 of them had been hanging out at a party prior to the accident -- and Hannah admitted to cops she'd seen both Tyler and Aaron drink 4 to 5 beers each before she opted to give Aaron the keys to her ride.
BTW, Aaron was already on probation for a DUI, and only permitted to operate vehicles with a breathalyzer attached to the ignition ... which Hannah's bike did not have.
-snip-
Tyler died in the crash, Aaron was arrested for aggravated DUI, and because he was on Hannah's bike ... her insurance company paid Dyer's parents $50,000 in exchange for an agreement not to sue Hannah in the future.

Big Bucks?
That’s less than the price of a Pick up Truck.
Less than a Baldwin Vacation.
These seem like very special people. I think they should give the rest of us advice on how we should live our lives.
But she was diverse and had the right plumbing to check a box.
OK, her boyfriend had been drinking and she let him ride her motorcycle. IF he’d wrecked and gotten killed, I’d understand her liability.
But why did her insurance company pay in the death of his friend who was riding his own bike?
I’m hearing bad stories about everyone around Baldwin but no bad stories about Baldwin and his actions that day. Except, of course, how devastated he is (with a couple accompanying staged photos of him in “agony”.)
He’ll be on the Leftist late night talk shows within a year making his “comeback”, getting long applause from the hosts and their Liberal audience. “What a heroic man, such pain he endured!”
They’ll have to be careful about which one he goes on first. Probably do a one on one interview with a famous interviewer first. Oprah?
Meanwhile his victim’s body rots.
And the Santa Fe county District Attorney is a Soros paid woke Lezbo who said she is going to investigate the bullets, not the shooter.
Me too. The common themes seem to be incompetence and poor decisions. Not exactly the kinds of people I'd hire on for my project. Guess Baldwin's production really is low-budget.
They are really throwing this young newbie under the bus. As a noob, how much power could she have had on that movie set?
How do we know someone else in charge wasn’t pushing her to skip steps?
Maybe she was careless. Maybe they all were. For all we know, someone else in charge could’ve been pushing her: “Hurry up and hand it over.”
Getting this information is not that simple, especially if there is a confidentiality in the settlement documents. Getting the Complaint is simple enough, but not the terms of settlement.
I imagine it is the same as for cars. The car is insured, whoever is the driver.
Her bike.
it's called circling the wagons. The source of this piece is TMZ - Hollywood corporate media. They are ensuring Baldwin remains an influential voice that will not be charged with a crime. Oldest playbook there is - worked like a charm for bimbo eruptions.
It wasn't a death benefit per se, and the exact agreement is confidential, I assume, but her insurance company just wanted to avoid more lawsuits around the bend. She gave the keys, knowing the guys were drunk, so they were all partially guilty.
Is anyone surprised that someone who works in the movie and television industry makes decisions so poor that they contribute to the death of others? Outside of education or government, what industry are they going to get hired?
Guns don’t kill people. Armorers kill people.
she is NOT an armorer!!! damn...
From Legal Insurrection.

So, she had no real experience or expertise aside from being a Hispanic female, but was still hired anyways.
Wow! What’s the big deal? With a resume like that, I’m surprised she wasn’t elected to Congress, been appointed to a Cabinet position or the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or nominated to Supreme Court.
