Shows like 'The Rookie' and 'The Boys' have already decided to ban live guns on set
Internal discussions at major film and TV studios are reportedly underway to address calls for a ban on having real guns on set. However, it’s unlikely that a blanket ban will come from a network or studio level any time soon.

They can use Bananas and say BANG BANG ,LOL
In the old TV show CHIPS from the 1980s, everyone carried rubber guns.
Claude Akins, in his TV show, carried his father’s old revolver, until someone on the set stole it. His father had been a sheriff back in his day.
There was a soap opera actor some years ago, who was playing around with a blank pistol. He put it to his temple and pulled the trigger. Even though the pistol had a blank, the fire and powder emitted from the gun penetrated the skull and killed him instantly.
IOWs any gun is dangerous. Alec Baldwin and people like him are clueless.
There was an article in a firearm magazine or newspaper titled “THE CURSE OF THE GUNNIES” which dealt with anti-gun politicians, activists and actors who were caught using a firearm to kill or injure someone.
It was a hoot to see all the names of anti-gun people “hoist on their own petard.”
There used to be an old saying in the military.
“There are no accidents! They are caused!”
I knew this would happen. The liberals will ban guns on movie sets. This fever will grow and Baldwin will be cheering them on.
Bur you will see a lot of homo stuff in a Hallmark movie now.
Blechhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I have a good copy of Bondarchuk’s movie WAR AND PEACE(1966).
If you look carefully you can see two accidents with canon, one in which a soldier stands too close to the muzzle with fired, he grabs his left ear.
Another when a cavalry man is riding up a redoubt when the canon is fired it blows the sword right out of his hand.
And if you look real close, soldiers way in the background are using Russian bolt action rifles.
Bruce Lee’s son was killed by a “blank”. Debris got into the barrel, lethally propelled by the blank cartridge.
“Diehard 24” just won’t have the same feel without guns.
AirSoft makes every gun they need for 95%+ of the time
they don’t want us to have a gun for protection, they shouldn’t get to play wi them...
Yeah that’s pretty much how I feel about it. These maroons have already done enough damage. We can live without them. #AbortTheEntertainmentIndustry
Here’s what I took away from the story: There was a labor union dispute going on. That is why the set crew originally walked off, not because there were “safety concerns” though I’m sure that was part of their initial complaint and that was likely legitimate. The experienced (union) people were not around so replacement scabs were used.
They were upset about their replacement “scabs” and the incident was more than likely set up, playing off Mr Baldwin’s famed cluelessness and lack of vigilance. But try to blame the union. You won’t be able to! Haha! They picked the right stooge this time.
Don Jr at al are missing a golden opportunity to savage the union (that is, if they care about the end of Hollywood! and maybe they don’t) which has been a plague to DT and their family business and simply going after Mr Baldwin, who is an easy target.
That’s my take on what I have read on this forum (thank you, astute commenters!) and in other places.
Stop saying “What if this had happened to _____?” We all know the media game is rigged against us, and a lot of the time those you defend are still ok with them because they’re playing the game, too. People in the media wear kneepads. All of ‘em. #KillYourTV #AbortTheMedia (hi, nikos1121!) :)
LOL! Right? They totally pimp guns in movies and TV. Then the dumbwad actors spend all their free time trying to get in between you and your constitutional right to defend yourself.
Let them try. ;)
That’s actually pretty standard, yes: Think of the beginning of any James Bond movie you’ve ever seen. He aims directly at the camera and fires. Blood pours down. As I commented above, Baldwin was their perfect stooge.
Airsoft is so much fun. I want to buy a large piece of property in TX that’s just for airsoft on ATVs. :)
“I have never seen a gun in a Hallmark movie.”
...and I’ve never seen a good Hallmark movie. I take that back. “The Christmas Ornament” is terrific.
Since most movies are “how to” instructions for criminals, I’d love to see a ban on guns in Hollywood movies.
