One of my favorites:

Doc Watson - Tennessee Stud

While they just state Doc Watson, his son Merle was also playing here. Merle tragically died in a farm accident in 1985. He was driving a tractor to a nearby house when it slipped down an embankment and pinned him beneath it.

I had a co-worker in IT, that played in a bluegrass band back in the 80s. That was in Maryland, DC, Virginia area. They met a new band on a train on the way to the concert, named REM. I wish I had been on that train trip. ๐Ÿ™‚

Big Billy Strings fan here. They just won Bluegrass Entertainer of the Year. Billy himself also won Guitarist of the Year. They are bringing a whole new crop of fans to Bluegrass music.
