Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Isaiah 42
Song of Praise to the Lord
10 Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them.
11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;
let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy;
let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord
and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13 The Lord will march out like a champion,
like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry
and will triumph over his enemies.
14 “For a long time I have kept silent,
I have been quiet and held myself back.
But now, like a woman in childbirth,
I cry out, I gasp and pant.
15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills
and dry up all their vegetation;
I will turn rivers into islands
and dry up the pools.
16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
I will not forsake them.
17 But those who trust in idols,
who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’
will be turned back in utter shame.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven
Blessed Are You,
Oh LORD, Our God,
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
El Shaddai,
The All-Sufficient One.
Oh, Holy, Holy, Holy are You,
LORD, God of Power and Might!
May You Always be The Provider
and Banner For Your People.
May Your Children never be ashamed
or afraid to Lift Your Banner High!
May Your Name Always be Before them in battle and never be profaned!
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
Let all that has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.
God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Reading the prayers that occur in the book of Isaiah, we see that he was a man of prayer as well as a prophet. In the very early chapters we read of his wonder at seeing a vision of Heaven and hearing the Cherubim singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" around the Throne of God. In Chapter 12, we read a prayer of Joyful Praise at God's Salvation, and compare Him to a Fountain of Living Water. Then we read of Hezekiah's Prayer of Desperation and then, a Prayer of Victory. And we are still not finished!
Chapter 42 is right in the middle of a series of "Servant Songs" which are Messianic Prophecies. These culminate in Isaiah 53, which describes Messiah's agonizing Death and Substitutiary Atonement. These Chapters are so graphic and accurate, that, for years, liberal scholars attributed them to a "different" Isaiah and a later date. The Dead Sea Scrolls' magnificent intact Scroll of Isaiah put that notion to rest forever.
Anyway, right in the midst of these wonderful Prophecies is a Prayer. It is Isaiah's own. Perhaps he was so overwhelmed by his vision that he interrupted his prophecy for a moment to catch his breath and say, "WOW! What an AWESOME GOD we have!"
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.

Psalm 92
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath Day.
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
2 to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,
3 to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
5 How great are your works, O Lord!
Your thoughts are very deep!
6 The dullard cannot know,
the stupid cannot understand this:
7 though the wicked sprout like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they are doomed to destruction for ever,
8 but you, O Lord, are on high for ever.
9 For your enemies, O Lord,
for your enemies shall perish;
all evildoers shall be scattered.
10 But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox;
you have poured over me* fresh oil.
11 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree,
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 They are planted in the house of the Lord;
they flourish in the courts of our God.
14 In old age they still produce fruit;
they are always green and full of sap,
15 showing that the Lord is upright;
he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
