Hannah Gutierrez has been identified as the armorer or weapons handler on the movie, “Rust.” According to reports, she laid out three guns on the Santa Fe set. One of them wound up killing Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza, fired by an unwitting Alec Baldwin.
Gutierrez’s LinkedIn page includes a resume note from this past spring and summer working at Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana from March through June. She described her job there: “Loading firearms with appropriately sized blanks. Ensuring gun safety on set along with instructing actors on how to use their guns.”
She is young and pretty, and according to LinkedIn a student at Northern Arizona University from 2017 to 2020 in “creative media and film.”
It’s unclear if Gutierrez was union approved or licensed, or still a student.

“I’m fairly sure she had no malice in this tragedy.
Unlike Baldwin.”
Well a few things are gonna have to transpire before that...like a completed investigation and possibly one or more trials.
Yup, it protects incompetence.
That's the one thing I'm certain of.
I think prison laundry will be her next gig, at least if responsibility still has a place in the law. I don’t know the precedent for actors, but checking a firearm when its handed to you should be the norm. Probably isn’t with Leftist actors.
I know the stress of flight-line safety. Had a toolbox roll and spill in the grass one time. The subsequent search for a missing #2 Philips bit took hours and involved anyone with spare time. They were getting ready to pull the seats and ground the jet when I got an idea of where the bit was. Lodged in a T.O. I checked out separately, and turned in right before the tool was discovered missing.
Little experience with a bully producer in Baldwin. Recipe for disaster.
“C’mon where’s my prop?! The rest of the cast walked out. You need to step up!!”
> Does union membership somehow guarantee competence? <
I don’t know about this particular case. But I do know something about the trades (carpentry, etc.). There are always exceptions. But in general union trades people are about competent as you can get.
When I was a lad on the verge of getting my first .22 rifle, my dad and uncle were relentless in instructing me on safe gun handling. The very first thing upon picking up a firearm was to check if it were loaded or not.
This was every time to the point of absurdity—”I checked it 10 minutes ago and put it down 5 minutes ago, do I have to check it again?”
“Yes!” was always the answer.
Now checking whether or not rounds loaded in a single-action Army are blanks or not would be tedious. But the question has to be why would there be live rounds anywhere on the set?
In the end, Baldwin pointed a firearm at a human being and pulled the trigger killing a woman. No matter how a live round got into the revolver, Baldwin bears the responsibility for her death. Others may share some blame.
It likely is a ‘tragic accident’ but if I were to shoot my neighbor accidentally, I would expect there to be legal consequences.
If you go on google there are multiple stories and there will be for days. When a story is printed on fr it is seen the day it’s posted and after that disappears. Then no more comments on it unless another story is printed on it so I can’t see the harm in posting again.
Negligent homicide is a criminal charge brought against a person who, through criminal negligence, allows another person to die.Wikipedia
This, at the very least, should be the charge. Both as the shooter and as the producer.
Yup. NO reason for live ammo on the set. NONE.

Yep, she’s a leftist. And leftists always know everything.
But I do know something about the trades (carpentry, etc.).
Boy howdy.
You’re in for it now!
Not warranted, but that ain’t gonna matter.
Just that pose alone tells me she’s a moron around guns.
“C’mon where’s my prop?!”
Yep that sounds about right
“Never take a weapon unless you check it yourself. A weapon isnt clear until YOU clear it. Otherwise its unsafe.”
If AB was an NRA member, he would know these things. They should comp him with a free membership.
Hi.
The court should mandate that before Alec holds another firearm, he must take the NRA Hunter safety course and the NRA certified course for CCW.
And then donate to the NRA.
I crack me up.
