An assistant director on the set of the film Rust—at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe County—retrieved a “prop gun” from a rolling cart and handed it to one of America’s best-known actors on Thursday afternoon.

“Cold gun,” the assistant director shouted.

Moments later, Alec Baldwin fired a shot that struck cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in the chest and director Joel Souza in the shoulder.

Magistrate Judge John Rysanek signed off on Cano’s request early Friday morning to gather film, video and cameras; live and prop weapons and ammunition, plus documentation of ownership of weapons and ammunition; clothing worn by Baldwin and others at the time of the shooting (which may have been splattered with blood, given the “close proximity” in which the shooting took place); computer equipment used to record and store video, plus cellphones of people present

Baldwin blasted the cinematographer in her chest, not her stomach as earlier reported

Somebody messed up big time.

Or planted the bullet because they were mad about something. There was some labor friction on the site, with worker replacements.

Labor dispute. Baldwin, the producer, was also 3 weeks behind in pay to the crew and they were having to sleep in their cars

At the very least there was manslaughter involved, possibly murder. Baldwin is a dipchit but he may have simply been an unwary, callous, ungrateful, careless bothering leftward idiot. Which is pretty much any day that ends with “day” in his case.

This begins to sound like a plot from the old “Columbo” detective series.

There’s not a lot of MSM coverage as far as I can tell.

I will repeat my vague memory of a Burke’s Law episode. Gene Barry as Burke has to find out who substituted the live ammo gun for the prop one.

Synopsis:
“In the revival series episode, “Who Killed the World’s Greatest Chef?”, a girl jumps out of a cake and fires two guns, one shoots out a flag that says “BANG!”, the other a real pistol that takes out the victim of the week.”

MSM protects Hollywood celebrities as much as it does Politicians because they hold hands, intermarry one another, and “Play” in the same courts.

I hope someone as competent as Columbo is on the case, and not the Keystone Cops.

I wonder if Baldwin will be doing any Trump impersonations skits on SNL anytime soon. What a piece of work he is, including his fits of public outrage.

MSM doesn’t want anyone to know that their hero Baldwin blasted a woman in the chest at nearly point blank range and killed her.

Further in the article we learn that while this was a dress rehearsal there seems to be video of the incident which if true, will show exactly what happened.

I’ve never seen a blank. Is it easy to identify a round as a blank?

That sounds like an environment where corners are cut and mistakes easily made. And guns can punish even the smallest mistake terribly.
