Why do they keep calling it a “misfire”?

Live round in a gun 6 hours after disgruntled workers walk off the set. Interesting

This was no "misfire". Baldwin addressed his victims right before they were killed. Baldwin yelled something to the effect of "I ought to blow your [effin] heads off" and discharged the weapon. It was not a misfire. Baldwin meant to fire the gun. He could have thought the gun was harmless. Obviously it wasn't.
They are going to try to gin up a "misfire" alibi, but there are witnesses who will testify otherwise. Reckless endangerment at the minimum.

There some serious negligence involved. The only question is, does rise the level of criminal negligence.

I guess hotels are too expensive for the cheap ass producer of this crap attempt at entertainment. Maybe that’s why he shot a couple so he could save on the bills 🤪

Did anyone “rod” those weapons following the misfires? Sounds like a bullet was shoved into the barrel when only a primer fired, only to be propelled by a blank.

Baldwin is done. He’s going to be sued until he has less than nothing.
That gives me a schadenboner.

Misfire? Shouldn’t it be Ms.Fire or she/her fire?

'A gun had two misfires in a closed cabin. They just fired loud pops – a person was just holding it in their hands and it went off,' they said.
That doesn't sound possible. Especially with a single action revolver. But even with a semi-automatic it's not going to go off when you are just holding it in your hand.
The article says there was a .44 caliber bullet in the victim's spine. I wonder how they identify their blanks to prevent loading live ammunition. I've never loaded or fired a blank before.
The actor should have verified the barrel was clear as soon as they handed him the weapon.

When I was undergoing boot camp training in the Marine Corps, we underwent live fire training where you have to shimmy along on the ground under live fire over your position. You could hear the rounds and everyone knew what was happening, but this movie set situation is mindboggling. Where did the live rounds come from anyway? How crazy can it get to have guns on the set that are capable of discharging live rounds? There has to be a better way.

Given this info there is no chance that the productions underwriters will cover what will certainly be an enormous bill....

Didn’t Baldwin go all Diva, Lord and Master of All He Surveys over a movie production crew not having covid vaccinations a few months ago and fire some people? Is this the same movie?
