Wal-Mart cards only.
Limited none on last transaction. Special checkout only
This so called problem now dating back to LAST YEAR. Suspicious moving us to The Mark.
I’m encountering cashiers who can’t count money
I gave a kid at a drive through 4 one dollar bills, 3 quarters, a dime, a nickel and 3 pennies. He spread it out on the counter and stared at it. I just let him do that for at least five minutes. I finally told him that was the correct amount. He said, “Good” and gave me a receipt.
A friend last night paid for $20 worth of merchandise with a $100 bill. The cashier gave him $120 in change.
The last time I went to Walmart I saw more Mexicans than the last time I was in Mexico.
I'm on the verge of doing just that. It's insane what a totalitarian nation we've become.
Naw, see... that's a bank where you get cash.
Walmart is where you PAY cash.
Totally opposite thing.
Are you drunk?
I think they've since gotten cash shipments, so they do have regular checkout lines open that accept cash again. The real issue is that they only normally keep just one or two checkout lines open at a time, plus the self-checkouts. The self-checkouts almost never have cash in them, and are card-only as a result. No real conspiracy, except they've just scaled way back on having actual checkout lines open. This dates back to pre-COVID (at least the past three years), and it's also not limited to this one store. My guess is this is a cost-cutting measure that got implemented when the whole $15/hr. minimum wage stuff started getting kicked around.
Used cash just yesterday at Wmart self-checkout..... after some weeks of no cash, just card at self-checkout. The “issue” was lack of coins, per employees. The Walmart self-checkouts take only bills. At Kroger, you can put in coins .... if they are out of coins, they will add change to your Kroger card (not sure how that works - I take plenty of change & use exact amount).
Last week, in Aldi’s, the cashier apologized for no quarters - said they had requested them from the bank, but didn’t get any. I pulled out my change bag (so heavy, it makes my pocketbook a lethal weapon) & exchanged a bunch of quarters for bills .... cashier was very happy.
btw, did some marketing yesterday and did not see one masked face! None, nada ...
Unless there’s tornado outage or some @sshole bombs downtown Nashville causing card outages across huge areas.
I generally only see elderly people with masks....
In the case of my local WalMart, the no-change problem lasted for at least 1.5 months. After the Brinks truck finally showed up filled with coins, everything went back to normal. Walmart DID always accept cash, but only at the registers with cashiers, and the cashiers could not always provide exact coin change.
Sam's kids are all billionaire woke fools who are on the chicom's leash...
He has to be spinning in his grave...
I have paid in cash lately at several different Walmart stores in several different transactions.
Why did you not post the article which explains this applies only to a local Wal*Mart in MS and was caused by an internal problem?
Yeah. In the express line. With the Mexicans with 50 items.
Stores dont like cash, neither do banks. There is no coin shortage, companies and banks dont want to pay for the infrastracture to handle cash and coin deposits.
Not at my nearest Walmart. The self-checkout machines accept coins.
But I can still wear my pajamas when I shop there, right?
yes, Sam Walton did try to buy and sell USA merchandise
but
it proved impossible to stock a lot of items, as USA factories were shutting down or being shipped over to Communist China during those years
empty shelves (for lack of merchandise) don’t make for happy customers or a successful business
SO now if you go into Walmart or any other store ... its mostly, largely Communist China imported stuff
I am not an isolationist, I believe in trading with foreign nations to our mutual benefit, but such tremendous dependency on a communist dictatorship in particular is not a good thing for America imho
Hah! I still work so have plenty of interaction- some wonderful- some not. But in “the world” things are pretty strange and unsettling.
Only if you pull the bottoms down a few inches in the rear. Also, colorful fluffy slippers are mandatory.
