Seattle police arrested a man on Tuesday after he pulled a gun on a store manager who disarmed him and took his weapon.
The manager of a convenience store in the 600 block of Denny Way watched a man grab about $200 in merchandise around 1:15 p.m. and walk out without paying.
When the manager followed the man outside to confront him, the man reached towards his jacket pocket.
The manager saw the handle grip of a pistol sticking out.
The manager hit the man in his hand, causing him to drop the gun. The manager quickly picked it up and ran back towards his store.
The man followed the manager, asking for his gun back and offering to trade the stolen items for the gun’s return.
When the manager called 911, the man fled on foot.
Seattle police responded to the scene. They seized the gun and searched the area but could not immediately find the man.
About two hours later, police found the man in the 400 block of West Roy Street, wearing the same clothes he had been wearing earlier.
Detectives interviewed the 23-year-old man and booked him into a King County jail for robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Too funny.

Criminals can be such idiots.
Give it back. Ammo first.
Buutbutbut, dass ma’ gunn! Pleeeze!
Those daggum Amish.
Let’s Go Brandon.
Surprised they didn’t charge the store owner for robbery.
Unfortunately, this criminal is stuck on stupid, and will probably not make his 30th birthday.

Aw, man. You can’t deprive a feller of his means of making a living.
I have little doubt that in ENgland he would have been charged with unlawful possession of a fire arm. Possibly in NYC and CHicago too.
Ding...Ding...Ding! A Darwin Award winner!!
Now that is a store manager who can think quickly in a very stressful situation. He did the right thing by retreating with gun and calling 911.
No doubt the temptation was to fire the gun at the criminal just to get even for the robbery. There must have actually been bullets loaded, or the crook would have continued to advance.
Surprisingly they haven’t arrested the store owner…yet
Really. I’m surprised he wasn’t arrested for assault.
It is so easy for the left to come after good people, rather than catching and punishing the bad guys.
Someone once said that criminals are bad people who do things badly. And it’s true. The brilliant criminal is a Hollywood myth. The rare exceptions prove the rule.
The Left protects criminals as a professional courtesy.
Here we go with the Amish again. It’s really not funny any more.
Guns are expensive. A man has to make a living somehow (cue Clint Eastwood line from Outlaw Josey Wales)
I think it’s pretty funny.
