Let’s Go Brandon: The Second Shot Heard Around the World

In April of 1775, confronted by a forthcoming uprising by the U.S. colonist, British General Thomas Gage made the decision to confiscate gun powder and weapons that were being stored in Concord, Massachusetts. However, his plan was thwarted when citizens learned of his intentions and the legend of Paul Revere was born. Gage according to the historical record, made his way to Concord with more than 600 British soldiers. By the next morning, British troops reached Lexington, where several dozen minutemen had gathered and a brief clash occurred which left eight Americans dead and many others wounded.

When the British reached Concord, they proceeded to secure the North Bridge that spanned the Concord River with the goal of going further inward to search for more weapons. However, they were met by hundreds of men from the area. Seeing smoke in the background the result of the Redcoats burning what they had seized in Concord, the men marched down toward the British who at first retreated to take up defensive positions. Shots were exchanged and on that April 19, 1775, it is said that was “the shot heard round the world.” With the exception of a few other bygone events (Civil War, Murders of Lincoln, Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King and 911), there hasn’t been another more prominent date in U.S. history, that is until now.

About a few weeks or so ago, via accidental vicarious means, a NBC sports reporter named Kelli Stavast was interviewing Brandon Brown after getting his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win at Talladega Superspeedway. During the interview, in the background fans started to chant "f*ck Joe Biden." For reasons I have yet to figure out, she commented: "As you can hear the chants from the crowd, 'Let's go Brandon.'" And thus began the viral let's go Brandon trend, which I consider the second shot heard around the world. Little did Stavast know that her words would backfire and cause a movement. She could not have thought that the crowd was saying, "Let's go Brandon!" She said something foolish to try to hide what the crowd was saying and is now the butt of a worldwide joke. The media got caught carrying Biden’s water for him again and gave the world and the resistance a rally cry. Can you say fake news?

No matter where you go, people are saying it. They even use it as if it were a punctuation mark to end sentences. Honestly, its moments like this that make me think maybe all is not lost. I bet Brandon Brown never thought after he won his first NASCAR race, his name would go worldwide. Then there is the added value tax of having hope in the next generation when you have them even saying it. Funny, for as much as they said folk hated Trump, I don’t recall a slogan about him said as much as this one about Biden. Maybe it was because we were happy – hate or love Trump, we all miss having a working supply chain, secure borders, low gas prices and stores with fully stocked shelves. My how things have changed.

There is even a rap song that was produced by Loza Alexander’s called ‘Let's go Brandon’ that reached number 1 on the iTunes Hip Hop chart. Although it needs a few more verses and a club remix, the beat is hard and everyone should be requesting this song on their local radio stations. The fact that young people are saying it gives added value and restores my faith in this new generation.

I am certain that some will be offended by any statement directed toward the ice cream man, but I had to write this to get it off my chest. God forbid if idiots like LA Times sports writer Bill Plaschke wokety woke azz hear the song. Based on his elitist take on the fans in Atlanta for using their cellphone flashlights to do what he called a” racist chop” and his description of us lowly folk in flyover Georgia for loving Waffle House, I know if he heard the song his bigoted all white neighborhood living in azz would require a box of tampons to stop the bleeding. Actually, if it was such a problem he should have said something about it decades ago when he first started writing. But such is the nature of fake outrage.

It has only been nine months but it seems like a decade since Biden has been in office. I cannot even envision the destruction that he will do with 3 more years in the Whitehouse. But, if he dies, we'll be stuck with Harris and she's even worse. Biden has been an absolute disaster. I never dreamed he would be this bad and catastrophic in such a short period of time, or be this bad this soon. People may not have liked Trump but his policies worked.

Biden-Harris is without a doubt the most disastrous administration in the history of the US, and we not 12 months in yet. He selected a check the box cabinet based on race, gender and sexual orientation instead of merit or competence and makes policy based on twitter polling. His immigration policy is a mess and he has created an economy with the sharpest rise in inflation in 13 years. Now he is forcing U.S. auto manufactures to build cars in Mexico and begging OPEC for oil and still pushing mask and experimental vaccine mandates for everyone. Flying illegal immigrants across the nation in the early hours of the morning regardless of Covid status and without a vaccine mandate for them is just telling the world “come on over to the USA and get free shit even flights to New York.” I don't even want to mention Afghanistan and leaving Americans behind when Biden flat out lied saying he would never do such. This administration is so wokafied and concerned about understanding white rage in the military and the CIA so busy spying on Trump and U.S. citizens, they let the CCP fire a hypersonic missile capable of carrying a nuclear payload that they didn't even know about. The fact is that inflation is going to get extremely bad the more he pushes this wokestentialist agenda on the nation and that doesn’t seem to bother him.

So get used to hearing ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ because it is going to be around for a while. It shows that the real Americans are speaking loud and clear. You know it is on when the hip hop world aligns with the NASCAR world and if Trump uses Loza Alexander’s song at his rallies it'll be the most rawdawg gangster shit ever.

Let’s go Brandon – a simple aphorism that has united all Americans of all races, creeds, nationalities, and genders. Looks like Biden was able to unite us, as he spoke about during his inauguration speech. Somehow, I don’t think this is the kind of “unity” that he expected. God works in mysterious ways. Clearly we the people still have the last word. Long live October 2, 2021 - the second shot heard around the world.

“Let’s go Brandon!”

Son called a few minutes ago, he just drove through the Mobile tunnel. In front of him was a huge RV bus with a “Let’s Go Brandon!” banner plastered to the back end. It’s a good day.

The "Let's Go Brandon" slogan is simply brilliant and I'm glad it's catching on.

It's a perfect euphemism for the original more profane chant, that let's face it, most decent people don't want to utter out loud.

When we say "Let's Go Brandon", everybody now knows what we are really saying! You can even use that phrase in polite company. Love it.

****Shots were exchanged and on that April 19, 1775, it is said that was “the shot heard round the world.” ... there hasn’t been another more prominent date in U.S. history, that is until now. ****

I noticed thirty five years ago that newspaper editors in the US refuse to mention that date or what happened on that date in 1775.
I even wrote a letter to the editor asking why? I never got an answer.

I believe it has something to do with (gasp!)guns in private hands, the birth of an Austrian mad man, and later the OKC bombing and the Columbine school shootings.

So that date in US history is conveniently kept out of the news.

************

That is true. But what concerns me is the sympathy vote that will manifest itself when Biden has to step down. The media will make a saint out of him for his “sacrifice” to the nation while battling serious health issues and generally restoring the country after the “disastrous” Trump presidency. Just watch how they will canonize him into a sympathetic figure.

Their next step will be to drum up support for his legacy and unfinished business. When Kamala follows SloJoe she’ll inherit some goodwill for continuing Joe’s “long and dedicated” service to his country.

The Dems will milk his departure big time, and get a lot of Republican sympathy to go along with it. The most disastrous administration in history will likely be hailed as the one that transformed America into a more equitable country and other such nonsense.

My wife lived in a small town in Canada called Brandon in the 50s. I asked her when the family was watching hockey games between her town and other neighboring towns, could the people who were shouting “let’s go Brandon” ever conceive that half a century later it meant F*ck the President of the United States”

I know that the media are nothing but compliant lapdogs for whatever corrupt Democrat Administration occupies the WH, but even hard core Democrats would not buy that line of nonsense about Biden "restoring the country". The guy is an absolute joke and a total disaster.

“As you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go Brandon.’”

I remember hearing something similar many years ago, on The Larry King Live talk show on radio.

He was allowing callers to ask questions when he linked with one caller.
In a very deep voice the caller said...”I Hate the Joozzz!” the hung up.

Larry King then said “You hate the Blues?” You hate the News?”
I thought it was a funny retort for what the caller said.

Oh I agree. He’s a total disaster.

But the Dem spin machine will shift into high gear to rehab his failed administration. They cannot afford to do otherwise. A lot of people in this country, perhaps most, are highly susceptible to propaganda and image making that the Ministry of Truth puts out. Much more so now than in the past IMO.

I don’t know how it will all play out but I do know that the Dems are very good manipulating people. They are experts at it and have almost total control of the resources needs to do it. That’s just the reality of what we’re up against.

The truth is an underdog against these people.

Close. They fear publicizing a date in history commemorating the violent resistance against gun confiscation by government troops.

Obviously you are not from Manitoba, and likely not from the rural west on either side of the border. I’ve known many people from Manitoba and several from Brandon. It’s not a small town. It is the second biggest Metropolitan area in Manitoba, and dwarfs the third largest city, which is less than a third its size.

(FWIW—the third largest city in Manitoba is Steinbach, with a population under 16,000. I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone from there)>

In one shot the phrase is a dig at Biden AND shows the lying gaslighting fake news corporate media for the Democrat propaganda it truly is. When even the rap and NASCAR crowds unite against you, you are truly screwed.
