I still wonder if people get type 2 diabetes because they are fat, or get fat because they have type 2 diabetes.
Excess iron causes diabetes.
“Excess iron causes diabetes”
I don’t think I ever had iron overload.
There are other causes. Excess of omega 6 fats causes diabetes.
I think men who consume chocolate or meat consume more iron than they need. Removing unnecessary iron increases ability to process sugar. See this:
Blood Letting in High-Ferritin Type 2 Diabetes
Effects on Insulin Sensitivity and β-Cell Function

I donate blood every two years to prevent excess iron.
If a person’s blood ferritin is less than 70 ng/ml, the person has an iron deficiency.

When I was young, I thought the three major food groups were chocolate, meat, and wine.
Good choices.
what dosage were you taking before (and after) doubling?
ah here it was, disregard, thanks
The four food groups that I am aware of are sugar, salt, grease and caffeine. Chocolate has all four, thus it is a super food.
Diabetes is no respecter of persons. Fat people may be more susceptible to diabetes but people with normal weight and even low weight can also suffer with diabetes.

I think the answer is yes.
I got type 2 at 5ft 7, 150 lbs.
More bad genes than anything else I think.
I’m not rigorous enough to use the Dr. Fung protocol so I’m on meds.
bttt

Sometimes it even has alcohol in it.
We used to inject cognac into strawberries, then dip them in melted chocolate.
Decadence a la mode.

A lot of people just nod knowingly when I tell them I have type 2. They seem to be making two assumptions: that I’m fat because I eat crazy amounts of food, and that obesity caused the diabetes.
Diabetes reference bump. New to me but probably not new to my gal. Thanks.
I’m taking notes. Thanks.
