Stuff like this is why I immediately discredit the global climate change crowd. It takes hundreds of thousands if not millions of years for changes to happen globally. The ramping of fossil fuel burning 100 years ago is a fleck of dust on the coffee table of Earth’s time in the solar system.

Earth Tipping on its own is hard to imagine. Perhaps, if a large enough meteor, asteroid, or comet struck Earth with a tangential blow to cause a rotation not aligned with the Earth’s axis, maybe. But, how would this resolve back to the normal axis.

There’s been evidence of polar orientation shifts for a long time. We’re able to pinpoint time frames much better with modern science, but the historical record is full of instances where aurorae were seen much closer to the equator than is common.

It’s understood that any sort of shift like that today would likely be damaging to modern communications.
