The Tripura government on Thursday ordered a departmental inquiry into the death of a three-day old baby boy soon after his swab was taken for Covid-19 test at a hospital.
The inquiry order came a day after the baby’s parents accused doctors of being responsible for the death claiming that the baby was healthy till collection of swab samples for Covid-19 test.
The baby underwent the test as his mother is also Covid-19 positive.
The baby was born at state-run Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital on August 10 and he died on Wednesday allegedly after his swab samples were collected.
“A three-member team has been formed to inquire into the death of the baby. The team will submit its report in the next three days. We will know the details about the case after getting their report,” said director of Health Department Dr. Subhasish Debbarma.
He added that he was not aware of the baby’s Covid-19 test reports but said that his mother had tested positive.
According to the baby’s mother and other relatives, the baby started bleeding from the nose after swab samples were collected from his nose.
They claimed that the doctors on duty assured them that he would be alright but he died after sometime.
Additional chief secretary SK Rakesh told reporters that the baby’s death was not related to collection of swab samples. But authorities were waiting for the autopsy report to know the cause of death.
Earlier on August 2, a two-day old baby girl, also a Covid-19 positive, had died. Till now, 44 Covid-19 patients have died in Tripura while two died by suicide.
In another incident, according to VAERS data a breastfeeding baby died of blood clots and inflamed arteries weeks after his mother was given the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
The case is the second known account of a breastfeeding baby dying of blood clots from vaccine.
Also, a two year old baby has died within six days of taking the second shot of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in the ongoing experimental clinical trials on more than 10,000 children under the age of 5 to 11.
Recently, more than 200,000 COVID testing kits have been recalled after they gave false positive results due to an unknown manufacturing issue.
On the other hand, the New York Times has been caught again peddling fake news of children being hospitalized by COVID-19.
According to a whistleblower, Pfizer told scientists to cover-up the use of aborted fetal tissues in making vaccines.
Pfizer’s Chief Scientific Officer, Philip Dormitzer, admits aborted fetus tissue is used in the company’s vaccine program, but that employees should just stick with Pfizer’s polished narrative omitting any mention of aborted fetal tissue to avoid any issues with the public.

Those poor parents, after 9 months of waiting and anticipation. They will always blame that swabbing for the child’s death. Such a swab shouldn’t be needed anyway.

Reminds of the cute red-head kid that recently had a stick in nose test, to be able to go to school, who bled from her EYE!

Within the last week, there was a picture of a young blond-haired girl that was also bleeding from her nose. Was related to COVID-19 procedures, but I don’t recall the details.

horrifying. what an abject failure by the medical personnel involved. very important to have only the best and most experienced people working with babies. why even test? did they even have a necessary reason? those parents ought to sue if they didn’t give informed consent.
