SA back in the 1980s started moving away from science and started allowing pseudoscience like “political science” articles into its magazine. I guess its now trying out metaphysics which its confusing with science fiction.

What came first, the chicken or the egg? Evolution has proven through fossils that modern man is a latecomer to this game. They also prove that he universe is billions of years old and still growing.
Maybe ‘the universe’ is ‘Disney World’ or a sophisticated prison planet or even a advanced ‘chip’ factory... or all of the above in different dimensions.

The definition of “The Universe” would have to include the advanced civilization that created any universes that were derived from its foundational information. “The Universe” does not need to be “created” because based on the nature of the quantum wave function it cannot not exist.
The Universe is the result of the fundamental nature of time which defines infinite change and fluctuation in the wave equation both forward and backward. Because time has no cause but itself everything that emerges from its progression is impermanent and dependent. Energy, matter, physics, chemistry, and biology all evolved from the wave equation. It is the model of the Universe we inhabit expressed in the language of mathematics.
Our universe is in a molecule in a drop of water which is in a glass about to be drank by person who, in turn, lives in a universe that is in a drop of water which is in a glass about to be drank by person who, in turn, lives in a universe that is in a drop of water which is in a glass about to be drank by person who, in turn, lives in a universe that is in a drop of water...
That scientists brain was cooked up in a laboratory and constructed specifically to conceive his ideas.

I used to have a quote pinned over my desk to the effect “centuries ago, humans viewed the universe as a clockwork mechanism, more recently as a giant computer, now it’s seen as a hologram of sorts... in coming years, what manner of toy or human construct will we imagine the universe to be?”
So it’s a computer simulation now, a created universe...
Why is it so difficult to just eff the ineffable and accept that this thing we know of as “the universe” came into being by a supernatural being, and stop the mental masturbation games?
On the other hand, the structure of the universe IS mathematical, but inquiry past origin has its limits - for now.
A non-falsifiable non-scientific theory.
