I have seen a few videos where they look like they hate each other while singing their version.

She got the last laugh..by booting him from the tour...or did he with the payoff..

She might have saved his life. At some point he had a critical health issue..i think afer he got the boot.

What you describe is what I like to refer to as "diva music." Epitomized by artists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and Christina Aguilera, it's basically a great female voice backed with a very boring musical backdrop such as heavily synthesized dance rhythms that are created in the studio and replicated onstage. Way too slick and polished for me.

I would rather listen to female voices backed with real bands behind them. Like Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin, and Debbie Harry.

Not a fan but she’s ridiculously popular. So you kind of have to check her out. A couple of tunes of hers are ok but most are meh. This one falls into the meh category. She’s not bad to the point of being offensive but she doesn’t rise above the mushy middle for me. Her songs rate in the 4 5 6 range out of 10.
