Humm. You can control what chickens eat, sort of.... You have no idea what rotting nastyness has gone into the bear! Bears...trichinosis. You would be safer eating the dogs. (Works only if you haven’t named them!) Try that on him to get your coop place back!

I have to laugh at your post. I would swear that you some way are related to me.

I have a coop but no laying hens. The Bob cat and its litter took them this summer. My beloved plot hound left for college and the cats saw an opportunity. I will get more in the spring. My plot loved the chickens. Protected them.

The bears are stocking up around here at this time. They hit my neighbors garbage yesterday.

I do have pleany of things to eat though.

“Try that on him to get your coop place back!”

Might work, but I kinda doubt it. I think he’s trying to convince me that the space I have designated for my ‘She Shed’ should be a Chicken Coop, instead. ;)

That said, those bears he brings home are clean! They only eat Pop Tarts, weeks-old Yogurt, Cookies from Rippin’ Good Cookies Factory Floor Sweepings and GALLONS of leftover Friday Night Fish-Fry oil.

I mean, HOW much closer to NATURAL can ya get? *SNORT*

Plotts are a very under-rated breed. They are total sweethearts with humans. Not so much with bears.

We have a beef steer right now that THINKS he’s a dog, but that’s OK because the DOGS think he’s a bear, LOL! It all seems to work out for them all.

Beau would LOVE it if we had plentiful Bobcats around here. The best he can do in the winter months are Coyote.

Once in a great while there will be a Bobcat sighted and everyone’s phone blows up and whatever OTHER plans you may have had for the day are out the window. ;)

Frankly before I rescued my daisy at the pound as a puppy I had never heard of that breed before. I have had many dogs. The plott hound is amazing. At least mine is. She is currently in the city with my daughter going to school. Big change for her. Both of them. Seems to be going well. They both are adjusting to new surroundings. Both are country girls. Lol.
