From the Psaki tweet: "Planning a cookout this year? Ketchup on the news," the White House tweeted Thursday. "According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d) – Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish."
"Sixteen cents?" Doocy asked after noting the tweet.

It will cost more than 16 cents extra this year to bake a turkey. I have no comment on the stuffing.
I’ll bet Thanksgiving is up more than 16 cents, blowing away all that savings Psaki was roaring about:
Gas: 42.1 percent
Meats, poultry, fish, and eggs: 10.5 percent
Propane, kerosene, and firewood: 27.6 percent
Fuel oil: 42.6 percent
Electricity: 5.2 percent
Peanut butter: 6.2 percent
Coffee: 4.0 percent
Bacon and similar products: 19.3 percent
Uncooked beef steaks: 22.1 percent
Not out of reach, cost wise.
fauci will just prohibit Thanksgiving.
She’s about as useful as a recycled tampon, and about as homely.
If July 4th were today, I could save some money. But it isn’t. So I can’t.
Right.
“Just think of all the money you’ll save by NOT hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, or traveling anywhere to attend one.”
The photo of Andy Cuomo looking in your window to insure no more than family were attending was going around last year. These people are fools: https://nypost.com/2020/11/20/company-makes-window-stickers-of-cuomo-watching-over-your-thanksgiving/
I hope next month Dooci asks her how FJB's policies are affecting Thanksgiving costs.
16 cents……
Just think of what you could do with all that extra money.
I’m going to buy a Cadillac.
We'll all be getting a bottle of wine and a Turkey sandwich shivering in the cold because we can't afford to heat the house.
Brother-in-law likes to deep fry one of the turkeys. I tried to look up the price increase in vegetable oil but couldn’t find a chart. I am sure it is also up bigly. Anything with Palm Oil is way higher for several factors, including a ban on some regional imports due to labor practices.
Not that I condone child labor violations anywhere but palm oil is used in many industries. Not just food.
LOL, that’s the photo - I guess we got the last laugh on Andy. Except the poor people in the nursing homes and their families.
im in
Peanut oil $10/gal. 30 bucks for 3 gallons at Walmart.
I don’t do the shopping. Is that a lot?
Well last year my granddaughter and and daughter in Law brought me Christmas on my deck....it was awful, we froze!.... and I won’t do that this year for either Holiday. If the family chooses not to do the Holiday then I’ll go solo rather than go thru that nonsense again. They spent time here then it was to drive here!
