A key Food and Drug Administration panel is holding a meeting Thursday to discuss and vote on the use of booster shots of Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine.
Depending on how the meeting goes, the agency could make a final decision within days, handing it off to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and its vaccine advisory committee to make their own decision.

Did Fauci show up with Spreadsheets demonstrating how money will be made if boosters are authorized?
Why should I watch the utterly unconstitutional FDA hold a panel to contemplate absolute illegal acts?
DISMANTLE THE UNCOSNTITOITOOAL PORTION FO THE FEDS!!!!

Gee, I wonder what they’ll “decide”?
So hard to predict.

Because they will listen to arguments both pro and con from respected scientists. Last time at the Pfizer panel they had someone testify that they believed the vaccines are killing more people than they are saving, and then the panel voted 16-2 against approving the boosters.
Political coercion ?
Isn't this the same Advisory Board that had two long-term members leave ? ?
At the last FDA panel meeting for the Pfizer vaccine booster they voted 16-2 against approval. Will be interesting to see if those votes hold, as current press reports are that the Moderna doesn’t fade as fast as Pfizer.
Great.
In the meantime, what to you want to do about the fact the FDA and feds have absolutely NO constitutional authority to meddle in healthcare. The Constitution enumerates no such delegated power to the feds.
I think they announced their retirement, effective sometime in December.
Yes and I suspect that the Advisory Counsel will NOT recommend that people who had the Moderna shots get a booster shot. The Moderna vaccination has not shown a significant degradation in efficacy.
Trying to learn how to do the wrong thing the right way.
Futility.
Exactly.
What does it matter, the FDA officials always end up overturning the recommendations of the advisory panel.
The FDA has actually been somewhat of a thorn in the side of the CDC and NIH with regard to the vaccines and especially boosters. Their 16-2 vote against Pfizer boosters is one of the rare times we’ve seen any agency pull the reigns on the vaccine mania. Today’s decision will be interesting whether it holds with that recommendation, or if it breaks from it, can it be determined why.
Israel is having a similar challenge.
It was the CDC director who unilaterally overruled their recommendation, and apparently has that authority, but that authority could be further undermined if future unilateral decisions are made.
C’mon man
The fix is in
The doses are already under contract
Yes but, they all agreed to push boosters on senior citizens, the elderly being expendable guinea pigs to use up all those doses that Big Pharma obligated the USG to buy
