The ethics and legality issues aside, we all know there are hard working illegals, but we still need immigration law to be enforced, which it hasn’t been for decades. And it’s all fun and games until one of them falls off your roof.

I had an addition put on my house 15 years ago. I told the contractor “no illegals”. He was a good guy and agreed. One day one of the Hispanic workers didn’t show.
The job foreman, Jimmy, told me he was taking the day off for “Day without a Mexican Day”. Remember that? All Mexicans were to take off to show us how necessary they are. I told Jimmy to tell Joelle not to return. He said Joelle was needed to do the finishing work. I said, “he should’ve come to work then”. “Tell him to stay home. Watch Sabado Gigante”.
Mine was one of only 2 Additions they were doing and Joelle finished his part on the other so he was out of work for a couple of weeks.
My cousin in the Atlanta area has such a work crew for his construction business. He pays them well and is trying to get them green cards. And he is making them into Trump style Republicans.
I am of Mexican decent. If these guys who are working on your roof are infact Illegal, 9 not being able to speak the language) is usually the tip off.
THIS is what you are doing..... THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER is getting stuck footing the bill for Social Services for these people, WE ARE paying their HOSPITALIZATION, We are paying for their Babies to be born.

Except for a few sectors ...Mexicans and Central Americans do nearly all construction work and food and produce and of course landscape and so on. Shelbyville TN home to 100s of horse farms and nearby Warren and Cannon and Coffee counties arguably largest greenhouse and shrub and decorative tree farming in America is also worked mostly by the same. These places have become 25-30% Hispanic in a generation

I grew up blacks did hard construction and whites did carpentry and electrical and steel and so on....whites still dominate electrical and plumbing.
Some of this is geographic..no question Latino construction influx is more sunbelt and coastal.
I go to Traverse city and few Mexicans although you do see them in the cherry business.
People said twenty years ago we would not deport a few million.
Now there are 20 million and the gates wide open steaming in from everywhere with future left wing voters who will be sold racial victimhood and vote for revenge and payoffs.
The irony is many Latinos do indeed work hard as F and send money home. Their culture has serious issues no question of that but if they can avoid falling for the race victim cult there is hope.
I don’t have answers but I can say that I can tell a lot of Freepers don’t see the magnitude of this.
If they all walked off here in Nashville ...man...the effect would be incredible ...and I just don’t see lazy fat whites and blacks who have grown accustomed to disability grift and Percocet scripts they sell and so on stepping up to plate.

My son worked with a Mexican man married to a country whites woman with kids and grandkids since 1979 in shelbyville who’s afraid to try for citizenship for fear of being deported back to Guadalajara

Well it turns out that she was originally from Texas. She told me that she was of Mexican extraction but she insisted that she was really of Spanish heritage. She said that her family had been living in Texas since the mid 1600s, and she has documents of members of her family verifying that they were born in the Republic of Texas.
I inquired if she had ever read Texas by James Michener. She had not, so I told her about the early part of the book where different persons were collected together in order to devise a sort of more personal testament to the History of Texas. If you have read that work you might understand the point.
Anyhow, this very pleasant Lady spoke for a bit and it turns out that is extremely well educated, far beyond any level that I have attained. She is published in Scientific Journals, and has Peer Reviewed Papers which are still being used for sourcing, though I neglected to ask just how long ago she wrote these things.
Anyhow, she said that the people of Mexican ‘heritage’ who are long standing citizens are not at all appreciative of the invasion from south of the border. We discussed illegal Irish Immigrants here in the Boston area and a few other things. It turns out that this woman and I were in accord on very much.
We likely might have talked for hours but she had an appointment. It was a delightful discussion and I do expect to have another with her.
Point is I suppose that one cannot evaluate the character of a person simply because of their family lineage or cultural background.
If they are as competent as you say they are then they should have been able to apply for legal status, whether a green card or citizenship.
A group,of legals were doing our neighbors roof. Very hard working and fast and super friendly.
Sadly though these folks were in the 25% group that come here and actually do work, and do it well. Nearly 75% of illegals come here and immediately go on welfare and remain there their whole lives. Many prisons have an illegal invader population of over 70%. And illegals coming here sponging off the government cost us over $750 billion dollars every year when all the costs are added up.
It,is a.lie that “the vast majority of illegals just want to come here and work hard.” Stats prove that to be a lie. The vast majority of them come here and sponge off the gov for the rest of their lives, some to the tune of $45,000 a year as they soak our system for all its worth.

The 25% or so that do come here, legally, to work and make a living, are good hard workers in my experience. Even some illegals do,work hard, BUT they are criminals who broke our laws, and need to be deported for doing so so that those who want to obey the laws, get citizenship, can do so legally and be welcome here. There is nothing honorable about,illegals breaking our laws no matter how hard they work.

Looks like you are catching a lot of flack for your post. The fact of the matter is that finding anyone in this society that is willing to do the kind of hard labor that these non-English speaking men are willing to do is nearly impossible.
Finding a college aged white English speaking man who is willing to go up on a roof in 90 degree weather and 60% humidity and rip off tiles and nail down tiles for $20 or even $30 an hour is an impossibility. The millennials would rather sit at home and collect free money from their government suppliers than engage in any work that might make them break a sweat.
I think for every illegal alien that crosses the border, we should deport a lazy millennial.
