3/ As stated previously, Angela was released to go home but there were concerns of COVID-related pneumonia for me. My oxygen saturation levels were initially at 85; they are now between 94-96. My blood pressure is at 120/74 and my recent temperature reading was 98.7.

Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate Allen West, who is not vaccinated, tweeted on Saturday that he may be admitted to the hospital after a chest X-ray showed he has mild pneumonia caused by the virus.
“Angela and I just completed the monoclonal antibody infusion therapy and are in the observation period. There’s a concern about my oxygen saturation levels, which are at 89 and they should be at 95. My chest X-rays do show COVID pneumonia, not serious. I am probably going to be admitted to the hospital.”
The campaign also said that West was taking hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.

3/ CLARIFICATION: In reading the comments, it appears there is some misunderstanding: Dr. Angela West received the vaccine. LTC West did not. LTC West has publicly stated he supports individual choice and this is reflected in his own family.

I recommend sweating it out. Scandinavian saunas and NA Indian sweat lodges did some good in attacking the evil microbugs.
So, who transmitted Covid to whom?
Was it the unvaxxed Allen West to his wife, or was it the other way around?
Another expensive and ~80% preventable hospital stay that makes Republicans look like troglodytes. COVID damaged lungs are not a joke.

If his body was concerned about it, his temp would be higher.
The body is not always right.
Keeping the temp up somewhat can’t hurt.
When I had the Flu in early 2020 I camped out in bed for a day or so with all the blankets and sleeping bags I could marshal. I survived better than my previous Flu attack 10 yr. earlier.
I think the body is almost always correct.
He may be on NSAIDS to keep the temp down somewhat; but even with those, I’ve had ‘flu and broken out in a big sweat anyway at night when it all broke. Didn’t need lots of covers - body did it by it’s own self.
I hope Allen West recovers asap.
Whoever his Primary Doctor and Attending Nurse are, they better be on their best game, because I see West being the type of patient who fact checks everything.
A friendly bedside manner won’t cover up incompetence or indifference. Not with someone like him.

The first reports I read made it sound like she took the shot (Why, on earth????) and then contracted covid/spread it to him.
Exact same thing that happened to a friend of mine. She resisted the shots for so long....a family member pressured her....she got the shots and then contracted cv from her infected/”vax”d SIL, and spread it to her ‘vax’d husband.
It was a mess. She finally got ivermectin (her primary wouldn’t prescribe) and began to quickly recover.
When it hit my wife and I late in December 2019, she spent three weeks getting over the symptoms, which included fatigue, loss of taste, and loss of appetite. She had no energy, but she never had a noticeable fever the entire time.
OTOH, I woke up in the middle of the night in a huge sweat with no symptoms of being sick prior to going to sleep. It was like someone had dumped a large container of water on me. I was a little tired the next day, after which I had recovered with no other symptoms.

I’m sorry to hear he’s going into the hospital. I’m afraid they don’t have the protocol at all perfected for COVID.

I’ve yet to see a blood O2 reading resolution of less than 1.0 .
That is a hospital-grade O2 sensor.
They also have MRI machines you don’t have at home.
