A friend sent me this video. He also happens to be a medium sized employer and after watching this he said he would NEVER hire a Harvard MBA.
I was wondering if any Freepers would have the same attitude?
Take a Seat in the Harvard MBA Case Classroom
Actually they have been doing just that for decades. A good case is the U & I Sugar company. They hired Harvard MBA’s and in a few short years it was defunct. This was in the late 70’s.
Good God, humblegunner, will you quit breaking the guy's balls? So the guy filled out/cut and pasted the wrong thing in the wrong box. He admitted it, straight out. Let it lie. Save that for blog pimps.
I'll bet the fan-boy doesn't do it again right away.
From what I’ve seen of the Harvard politicians in DC, I don’t think they would even make a good doorstop... Maybe fish bait..?
Atlanta
thanks
a long time ago, like maybe in another life, I worked for AIG. This was before the company got into guaranteeing mortgages. Back then, the company prided itself on its engineering department. We bid on risks like oil refineries and oil tankers based (A) on risk abatement and (B) rate.
I love the firemen and nurses, and all those who put their lives on the line in their work. Thank God for each and every one of them. We certainly need them more than Harvard Business School.
bkmk
Don’t tell me.
You’re the new hall monitor.
Larry Lucido on sick leave?
Gotcha. I met a bunch of guys in Jax that used to be CSX in Pittsburgh before retiring.
Working in conjunction with train companies is brutal when you deal in electrical distribution.
In all the years I have been here, I have NEVER seen you post an article.
Nice try, Nancy boi.
I can imagine. I was in the first wave of firings in 2017 when a hedge fund took over
Speak for yourself.
He adds nothing here but stirring the pot full of ****!
The irony with consultant’s is they take ideas the business has but lacks the political will to execute so you get companies that hire consultants who regurgitate your ideas back to you. Afterall, you spent good money on them, you better do what they say.
If you don't know how to check that, you're stupid as hell.
But let's suppose I did post a great article right now.
Your response would be "SCREW YOU, HUMBLEGUNNER!"
So what would be the point?
Chopped up and sold for profit, employees be damned?
They were delighted to have an opportunity to finally get their ideas implemented!
Kind of chopped up. Fired 1000s of folks. Sold a bunch of stuff to cut overhead and Jack up the stock price. Same guy did it to two RRs in Canada. Almost destroyed them.
He tried to get his hands on other RRs in the US. They all said NO. CSX said Yes.
Oh well.
Try it and see. If you dare.
It’s true. Worked with some really good ones over my 30 year IT career from some of the bigger shops. Working with one now and he’s very talented. We talk about this phenomenon all the time.
The point would be that you need to go move the couch off the front porch.
The missus is getting grumpy!
