Hillary Clinton's forthcoming political thriller will follow a fictional former presidential administration whose "near criminal incompetence" leads to a global crisis.
The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee shared more details about "State of Terror," her fictional co-writing debut with novelist Louise Penny, hitting shelves Tuesday.
“This book started really out of a conversation that Louise and I had,” Clinton told "CBS Sunday Morning" in a clip released Friday from an interview poised to air this weekend.
“I asked, ‘What’s your nightmare?’” Penny said.
In the book, a pair of middle-aged women team up to try to defeat a terror threat that's been "carefully planned to take advantage of four years of an American government out of touch with international affairs, out of practice with diplomacy, and out of power in the places where it counts the most."
