Yes, I don’t suppose they plan on pulling the plug at their churches. The vast majority of Ireland’s electricity generation is from fossil fuels, including a substantial amount from peat, which is even “dirtier” than coal and gas.
They’ve been trying to close down peat-burning plants like crazy. And recently, there has been talk of
power outages during the coming winter.
