"Anderson Cooper: 360" performed the strongest of CNN's weak primetime shows last month. The program reached 1 million viewers six times in September, averaging 916,000 viewers, a 41% decrease from his 1.55-million average in September 2020.
By comparison, Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" averaged a whopping 3.3 million viewers and MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes" averaged 1.3 million in the 8 p.m. ET timeslot.

"Cuomo Prime Time," once CNN's most-watched show, trailed behind Anderson Cooper, reaching 1 million viewers just twice last month and averaging 874,000 viewers. Fox News' "Hannity" averaged 2.9 million during the same 9 p.m. ET timeslot, while MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" averaged 2.3 million, both never falling below 1 million.
CNN's embattled anchor Chris Cuomo lost nearly half his viewers since last year when he averaged 1.65 million viewers.

FOX NEWS CHANNEL TROUNCES MSNBC, CNN AHEAD OF 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Cuomo's handoff buddy Don Lemon also shed 47% of his viewers from last year, going from a 1.36 million-viewer average to 742,000. Lemon never reached 1 million viewers during the entire month, coming in a distant third against Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle" and MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell." The latter shows averaged 2.4 and 1.5 million viewers respectively and always maintained seven-digit viewership.
CNN's daytime programming did not fare any better. Dayside anchor Jake Tapper never reached 1 million viewers in September. His program "The Lead" certainly did not lead in the ratings, suffering a 44% drop from his 1.3 million viewer average last year to his weak 737,000 average this year.

Who needs viewership anymore when you can have Operation Mockingbird monies?
Yes. Our side has a hard time with this concept of propaganda. Does PBS care about ratings? The Voice of America? The circulation of Jeff Bezos's Washington Post?
“Except ABC, NBC AND CBS are free but you gotta pay for cable news.
But then you knew that already before you made your post.”
To get ABC, NBC or CBS, I’d have to pay as I, like millions of others, have cable only. Then there are those who have satellite and they also would have to pay for CBS, NBC or ABC.
I love to watch Hannity when there is a guest host.
If they had only one viewer, Soros would still fund them.
You should try to understand how CNN makes money. Carriage fees free m every cable and satellite provider brings in over a billion a year without viewer #1. So no, they aren’t dependent on ratings and no they are not a loss leader.
“Does he broadcast 24 hours a day?
Nope. Not even close.”
Hannity and Carlson don’t broadcast 24 hours a day either.
Be interesying to know if any CIA shell companies are indirectly funding CNN....
I can’t listen to Hannity. Every other phrase is “you know.”
Yawn…they are immune to rathole ratings….printing millions of fake ballots trumps ratings…
Cadaver News Network
That’s about the only time I do watch.
You don’t need cable or satellite to get ABC, CBS or NBC. They are totally free.
Whether you already have cable/satellite or not has nothing g to do with it.
But you need to pay for cable/satellite to get any cable programs including cable news.
You keep saying that and it's not correct.
Cable channel income comes from different sources, carriage fees being one of them. In addition to carriage fees, your ratings bring in even more money from advertisers.
Advertisers are not paying the same for an under 1 million rated program on CNN as they pay for a super high rated 3.5 million rated program on Fox News.
Soros is worth $9 Billion (versus Elon Musk who is worth a massive $200 Billion).
Just how far do you think Soros’s money will go if he kept funding all these losing far left news outfits?
“You don’t need cable or satellite to get ABC, CBS or NBC. They are totally free.”
About 14% of US tv households watch “free” broadcast network television over the air. Which means 86% have cable, satellite or streaming services. There is no way ABC news, CBS news or NBC news could have the ratings they do if all the viewers they had got the programs strictly over the air for free.
Funded by tax payers.
The circulation of Jeff Bezos’s Washington Post?
Funded by Bezos and before that they were about to go out of business due to massive losses.
Not the same as CNN.
“But Fox Newz DOES broadcast 24 hours a day and Hannity/Tucker are merely programs on Fox News cable.”
The Joe Rogan Experience is a podcast on Spotify, a program like Hannity and Carlson, and not a network
